I live in Australia... a multi-cultural society in which people from all nations of the world (including Israel and Palestine) are able to live in peace with each other... without the need to build walls or barriers to keep each other apart; or to bulldoze each other's homes or destroy each other's land; or for that matter, to build Settlements that segregate one people from another !
We are able to live in peace and harmony with each other, because we respect each other's right to believe as we choose to believe... without trying to force our beliefs onto others !!!

Don't you know that Hamas fires rockets from civilian centres ? They use civilians as human shields. You can watch footage of them firing Qassam rockets from the grounds of schools full of children right here on YouTube. So Israel cannot defend itself without killing civilians. This is what Hamas wants. And the wall, as unpleasant as it is, it has had a significant effect, stopping suicide bombings and saving lives. Israel wont take it down only to see the bombers return.
If you are attacking a City, and want to avoid Civilian Casualties... you allow the civilians (and try to encourage them) to leave.

Warnings came well in advance and civilians had time to leave. People not leaving and even keeping children in school until the last minute was a deliberate and despicable act that Israel is not responsible for.

Don't you know that Hamas fires rockets from civilian centres ? They use civilians as human shields. You can watch footage of them firing Qassam rockets from the grounds of schools full of children right here on YouTube. So Israel cannot defend itself without killing civilians. This is what Hamas wants. And the wall, as unpleasant as it is, it has had a significant effect, stopping suicide bombings and saving lives. Israel wont take it down only to see the bombers return.
