Indeed my favorite anime series. I love .hack// and wish to be in The World. It is a fantasy of fantasies. Yes I know I sound like I'm obsessed/otaku. And quite frankly, my dears, I don't give a damn.

I would Love to see the World as an MMORPG that use Kinect technology and virtual reality. I mean just think we so have the technology but i would imagine the cost would be in the $500+ mark
@swarm420 actually i was thinking more advanced kinect technology. i wasnt entirely thinking along the lines of say todays tech... we are far off from a game that will pull you in that much but id also say we are just around the corner where graphics wont be the high point of video games and the new stuff and new ways to play a game will be the selling points (though maybe not next gen but its coming... there is only so far graphics can come).

Just finished rewatching it and it still is emotionally moving to me... Then again it kinda has to do with the character development and story line... Still a beautiful anime. Motivates me to finish the original games to see how it all ends.

That's not the point of the anime; .hack//sign isn't a joy ride, let's-get-the-adrenaline-running kind of story like Naruto or Inuyasha. Like you said, it is a psycological anime. It's meant to delve into the mind of the human being and what it does through isolation --- escaping reality, avoiding others, talking through a mask, showing only what you want others to see --- that sort of thing. I think it appeals to so many people (myself included) because of it's psycological and unique plotline.
Well, I don't espescially like Inu Yasha or Naruto and I did not intend to say that it wasn't a decent anime. I just prefer psychological anime when something actually happens. I find .Hack//sign lacks a strong plotline to which it holds. It likes to jump between characters, some unimportant, and I often found myself wondering what the actual plot was...that's all I disliked about it.

I liked the anime, I thought that it was good overall. Its just not one of my top ten animes. Besides, I didn't bash it or anything...just pointed out a few minor things I thought could have been improved in the anime.
Top ten...probably: 1. Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuchou To 2. Full Metal Alchemist (not brotherhood) 3. Eden of the East 4. 07-Ghost 5. xxx Holic 6. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni 7. Honey and Clover 8. Saiyuki (manga more than anime) 9. X/1999 10. Tsubasa Chronicle (thoygh, again, manga more than anime) As for how it can be approved...um, to be honest I haven't seen it in a long time so I coyld only tell you if I watched it again.

this song and video kind of reminds me of how in reality you might be hated and you might be weak but you have to remember that in the mmorpg world you can see things you'd probably never get to,and meet people that you can actually call friends ^_^

You should never use an online world as a resort like tsukasa! Never!
I like .hack and mmorpgs but thinking that way is wrong and will bite yourself in the ass later on! You should try and search them in the real world and overcome your weakness! That is what .hack//sign is about! Watch the end! Many characters in .hack//sign were running from the real world, hoping in finding a life in a fictional world! And weak in real life means weak in online life.

this anime has little violence or action, no sex and no nudity, and little comedy......yet it is an absolutely amazing show.
It really is one of my absolute favorites based sheerly on its fascinating characters and drama.

I watched this Anime during a time period in my life...
