Bit of a late response but... All PS3's support DTS HD Master audio & Dolby TrueHD. In fact, the most advanced PS3 for sound was probably the original 60GB as it could play super audio CDs.

Id personally ditch the internal amplification and go with matching amps and a (loudspeaker management crossover) system that is starting to become the norm in most professional cinemas today.

I noticed what appears to be an issue here. The vibration is moving one of the small satellite speakers. That is the sign of poor installation, no pun! The fronts LCR should be matching and slightly bigger to produce a decent bass mid kick. The room can use discreetly smaller subs for LCRS sub bass extension to argument the low end smoothly so that there is no bumps or dips in the frequency response.
