Nice guide :] I just tried it out and finished a trip with 105 charms. But since I used the elite diary Excalibur, I found I didn't need quite as many brews. Still it's a great use for iron/steel titans- in a few more hours of this I could have a Pack Yak.

Iron titan works well. You get at at lvl 95.

just wanted to point out the ring he's wearing, its a warriors ring.

best rings to wear in order from best to worst:

any imbued rings from mob. armies;

onyx(i), dstone(i), zerker (i), seers (i) ....

then if u dont have those;

normal seers ring

beacon ring

explorer ring 3

wealth even helps if u want to make some cash back from rune meds

Zerker (i) is +8 str and +8 crush. Much better for waterfiends than any other ring.

What about a Zamorakian spear, it's got a bit lower strength but increased accuracy, be worth it? Or Ever considered melee void? Or does the reduced magic defense and the lack of a charged hem render it less efficient?

It's faster than bursting, which averages around 160 crimsons a hour, but slower than barraging which is about 200. But 1m saved a hour, so far more efficient.

Great guide, but do you know how many charms I can get per hour doing this with only an iron titan? Nearly 95, and it'd save me about 50m if I could stop barraging lobbies for the rest of the charms lol.

Na my waterfiends chaos tunnels guide is way better. This method assumes you are maxed combat of a 138. No one with lower defence and prayer won't be able to stay for very long. With my method average players (70 defence because that is how much i was when doing this b4 i got def exp from iron titan) will be able to stay longer.

99 summoning at 112 combat =)

If you already know your drop's a charm then yes, there's a 92% chance that the charm is a crimson.

Overall it's 78% though- the QFC link in one of my other posts shows this, and if you're still doubtful I'm sure I could find another source.

I'm not bashing the guide, it's an extremely good spot, a lot more fun than the Cavern as well, but I do feel you're sensationalising it a little. So please, don't refer to me as a "stupid whore."

From the video'd trip and your claim of 109 crimson in 35 minutes, that's a large difference (45 per hour)

Waterfiends are extremely consistent droppers, I've never had a task deviating much from a 78% drop rate.

If you can acquire 180 crimson/h, then you're killing 230 waterfiends.

The max at the Ancient Cavern is 120 crimson- 155 kills.

I'm well aware of how good a steel titan is,but I don't think it's capable of 75 kills/h, especially given the fact you must bank before the hour's up.

I am now using sgs and bought a zerker. Only use 2 brews 1 rest a trip now.

102 crimsons in 44 minutes doesn't equal 180 per hour. It equals 140, which is 20 better than the Ancient Cavern. Granted you may have been unlucky this round, but not by 40 crimsons. Yes, this is a good method to get crimsons (it's where I do my waterfiend tasks), but you're exaggerating it somewhat.

QFC 98-99-703-58532304, top of page 13, also shows it's not that fast.

One final note, warrior ring's useless with SS at waterfiends, because you're using the 'crush' style, not 'slash'.

Is that worth the loss in xp in Slayer, Range, etc. not doing Slayer? Lots of Slayer tasks are good for charms as well, such as scabarites, black demons...not to mention waterfiends when you get them.

Well im 99 slayer and don't plan on getting 200m in slay or anything so not sure. If your not 99 slayer I would slay for charms for sure though. And if you don't have 99 summon by the time your 99 slayer, then I would do this.
