I remember listening to the Sylvia Star's mayday call the year she went down. We were in Alitak waiting out a blow and we lost our anchor. I was at the cannery shop getting a thimble and cable clamps to fix the anchor cable. Last time I saw her she was still laid up in the Kodiak boatyard being redone.
