My HTC Hero, when I press home twice it will xoom out or back up and put all 7 screens on one page and I can then choose which page to select, 1-7.

If you push the home button twice you can pick which page you want to go to. So you dont have to slide all the way to the next screens / use trackball. Other then that a fantastic review!

Yeah it is slow but it will help if you put a microSD in with a higher writing speed, see the cache files for the sense UI are stored on the SD whenever possible, so a faster writing speed also speeds the UI up a bit.

If you can get a hold of the hero but it, its a great phone. But if your carrier won't carry, wait for HTC in the future to introduce more Sense UI phones that won't be as underpowered as this one.

I just ordered the Hero and should be here tomorrow or wed. I have a 3gs now. People say this phone lags some but the 3gs lags when jailbroken and running apps in the background. I dont think you can compare unless both are running apps in the background. Guess i will see when my hero gets here

Mhh strange: I run 7 homescreens, full of icons and widgets and there's no sluggishness oder lag at all. Sometimes it needs a half second, but 90% of the time, everything runs smooth and iPhonelike..

1) When sliding a widget from page to page you have to hold it at the edge before it moves to the next page similar to re-arranging icons iphone.

2) I believe if you put your thumb on the bottom of the phone screen and start moving it left and right it brings up a "virtual trackball" that allows you to move from screen to screen easier.
