  • I have a few questions:

What brand of piano? Maybe is it a Steinway & sons? (if it is, is it really that great of a piano to have)

How many years have you been playing?

  • @sukinorules .... the piano is made by Grotrian, which is a German company. This performance was recorded four years ago, after roughly five and a half years of piano training.

  • O_O toka genial mis respertos (Y)

  • great!!great perfomance and you feel what you playing, really awesome and beautiful, right tempo

  • 8 people deserve a slow and painful death for disliking Mr. Feldman's playing.

  • sweet piano but your rooms doesnt have much space left :P

  • This is pathetique!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • fabulous!

  • AMAZING. Great speed, accuracy, expression everything. Amazing work! What grade / level are you at?

  • Far too fast. Allegro quavers!

You then have to slow down the triplet semiquavers for technical reasons and the lyrical episodes for musical reasons. This tends to support my view that your opening tempo is too fast. At 0:58; your dynamics are reversed! Technique and memory are good on the whole.

  • Bravo!! Very nice performance.

  • This song would be perfect on 120 bpm!

But still, it's my opinion :)

  • I love the way you play it !

It's my favourite piece, and I'm glad to hear someone on Youtube who FINALLY plays it with a bit of sensibility. Thank you !!

  • very good, touch slower, but all in all, excellent

  • this is really good, and its helping me a lot by letting me hear it played at tempo, my clarinet quartette is playing it for Solo and Ensemble in a couple of weeks.

  • Great job man

  • That a really nice piano, wish I had one like it.

  • Good was that, but played it a bit fast.Rondo Form's cute & I love it.I like it if you play a degree slow. That would sound better.Nice.

  • technically amazing, but it lacks a little bit of heart in my opinion.

i'd say the performance is too fast - it's almost mechnical, with little emotion

  • WOW,honestly that was great. one of the best playings I have ever seen.

But 2 things are a little wrong, work on your ending- from the big CLIMEX- before the big chords until the final scale and the scale in part C that you got to go down to the bass in Ab Major - it's supose to be STACCATO in both hands.

  • banya and the original both have their own style. each one has a different feeling. i play piano too so i know the feeling of each but ill tell you this. i think they are both are equally good in their own way. oh! btw! you are pretty good! :)

  • You play very goooddd:D

I wish i could play this to...

    ByeBye

  • you play this very nicely :)

It's one of my favourite sonata movements.

  • excellent! 6 stars

  • this is amazing!

  • very well played

  • Beautiful playing and fantastic piano. Makes a big difference! You're lucky. Keep up the great work.

  • hey man, u r great... haha i need to practice more

  • Got some fast fingers there,LOL

  • hahaha gaah that is soo greaaaat :D:D

  • its almost like virus banya

  • i like banya, but com' on!! this is just, wow, amazing, has no comparation, both are different

  • hey anthony, do you remember me, jesse?

  • Great playing, hope you upload your updated/corrected version of this Rondo!

  • mate, thats pretty fukin good

  • Good job!

Yeah, trixy54 was right, I like how you bring out the LH melody, and yes, try not to slow down randomly. Excellent dynamics.

P.S. M60: BRING THAT CHORD OUT! It wasn't very loud. M's78-79: Do not pause in between. There is no fermata. M's98-102: I couldn't hear a clear staccato.

  • Wow! I'm impressed.

  • 素晴らしいです:)

  • おつかれさま (at least I think this is right!)

  • I am Japanese,so I cannot use English,sorry.

  • I have to say of all the recordings of tis movement on youtube (of which there are few), you are the only one who plays it at what i call the 'right tempo' and with confidence.

Having said that, there are a few things I'd like to point out other than the obvious technical errors Sorry if you've corrected or whatever Im not too sure about the slow second episode.. you suddenly slow down randomly.although i like wat u do with ur LH, bringing out the melody at the end of every phrase in that episod

  • Thanks. The obvious errors (and a few that are less obvious) all got corrected. You're also right that the second part of the rondo was a little slow relative to the first part. That got corrected as well.

  • Very GOOD. AWESOME. I am learning this piece now, and I find it difficult. I have learned the whole sonata for music school auditions. GREAT JOB!!!

  • dude! thats awesome

  • <3.

Ignore all the ignorant statements of Youtubers that criticize great performances and don't know how to critique music when they can't do a 1/4th of what their seeing in their lifetimes.

  • damn you're amazing!! im trying to play this piece.. but to have it memorized wow! how long did that take you? and great job keeping up with the speed!

  • nicely played

  • On the left hand's semiquavered staccato, after the drawn-out major bit, I think you should soften it a bit and let the right hand sing.

  • I also think it wonderful. The only thing I can think of is that now the dynamics need consideration, and I agree that the tempo tend to race in parts. That change to the major key is like a brief happy memory coming to mind in the midst of fretful musing.

  • omg that was amazing... how long have u been playing this piece, well b4 u did this video? and oh man, its like spotless perfect, except that ONE little slip, u hit 2 keys instead of one, ahhhh im like listening to this video repeatedly and like its beautiful except ahhh, lol, but nah its goooood

  • I had been playing the piece for about six months before this recording. I have corrected most of the note mistakes in the piece since this recording. Things like not holding tied notes long enough. Thanks for the resounding praise.

  • Great, great, great performance there! I am playing this piece for a local exam/competition-- and this is inspiring me to perfect it for State.

Great job, I like your other videos as well!

  • bravo

  • brilliant performance although not sure if it the sound quality but it sounds rather brash

  • A basic Sony digital camcorder with a built-in microphone is not the world's best recording equipment. :-)

But it is the best I've got for digital video equipment.

  • very very nice,

  • Impeccable performance. No sense in me making any suggestions, because you already know what you need to work on. Excellent technique. One thing i WOULD suggest would be making a full European turn on the trill/grace note combination near the end of the first page of the movement (if using the full sheetmusic for the entire sonata). It sounded to me like you were using the Americanized turn. That little tweak would make it sound all the better! Good work overall!

  • Wow. Very nicely performed (a rarity on YouTube). This is the first complimentary comment I have been able to post among the videos I have seen. I do have one (and only one) piece of advice, and that would be to keep a more constant tempo. Congratulations on a job well done.

  • Thank you. Other serious musicians have said the same thing about tempo and we have been working on that since this was posted.

  • Amazing performance. You have talent. Bright future. Try to memorize the piece and your performance will become still better.

  • Actually, that was from memory. The music on the music desk was something else!

  • Nice work, if you put more emmmotion and feeling it will be more touch :o)

  • Nice work, if you put more emmmotion and feeling it will be more touch :o)

  • Un gran trabajo has hecho con esta pieza...felicitaciones, está muy prolija y sentida.

  • very good keep your shoulders low

  • Noted! We're working on this.

  • Great job! I am especially glad that you haven't received any malicious comments. He seems to have a lot of stylistic control in music that quite easily could be over-romanticized.

  • Holy **** dude. You have amazing hands.

  • :-) :-) Thanks.

  • No wonder your Dad is so proud of you. Brilliant work; keep sharing your talents with the world. You have a bright future in music I believe. Thank you for posting your videos so we can see and hear you perform.

  • Wow, you play it way better than me!! Great playing.

Continue your pianistic journey and don't ever quit.

    Good luck

  • Good work, Anthony! I hope you decide to share more of your music.:)
