I get so jelious living in northern california. Everyone here is broke as fuck hence the two oldest cookie cutter shitholes in the entire United States, we don't even have money to fix our roads or keep schools open, so I guess we'll be stuck with Oakland colusium, Candlestick Park, Arco Arena and Oracle for a while. It hurts watching all these other cities change stadiums like they change underwear. are stadiums are the laughing staulk of the MLB,NBA and NFL. hands down so don't argue

I dont like Citi Field. I dont like the fact that its too closed in. I like the Shea Stadium atmosphere,and the open scenery in the outfield. At Shea I use to like looking at the scenery in between innings,like the planes getting ready to land ,the subway,the Whitestone bridge etc. The closed in atmosphere at Citi field makes it look small,and tight. The Shea stadium atmosphere was better.

gonna miss shea though. it was the last of its kind, the cookie cutter stadium. kc, pitt, cinn, philli, la. even though its new its still in flushing bay with the airport 20 feet away. to bad the polo grounds are gone. thats 165th upper east side manhatten. where the ny football and baseball giants played up to 57. yankee and giant stadium 5 minute walk from eachother! the mets kept the NY on the caps. the giants sf that is kept the colors.

Thank GOD Shea was demolished it was one of the most awful looking stadiums i've ever went too! Citifield is a major league ballpark. can you just imagine the Yankees with the new Yankee stadium built and the Mets till playing in that rat whole Shea! Please! Let that God Awful stadium begone but savior the memories of times gone by But now it time to have new ones at Citifield !

I will miss shea it was a majot part of my childhood. Havent had time to go to citi field yet hopeing to soon so cant say anything against the new ball park until i go myself i dont know if the athomsphere will be the same its a pity they did not put some of the charicture of shea into like been able to see flushing and the u-haul building. But its was time to move on sheas facilities were dated. So I will hope i will gain the same feeling for citi field as I did for shea. LETS GO METS

Nothing in the Stadium is Mets. Except for the Apple, Skyline out in Center Field lounge, and the Mets montage on the Left Field Gate. Other then that, it feels like you are going to a Dodger game, or a team other then the Mets. I mean Shea Stadium yelled "LETS GO METS". Citi Field whispers "Mets". Its a shame. Honestly, I am not a fan on the stadium, I want Shea back.

Must admit as an objective Yankee Fan, Citi Field has a very warm fun embracing feel to it, whereas the New Yankee Stadium might be grand in scale, it seems very cold, sterile, and symmetrical lacking personality.

Citi field looks like fun. Like a baseball stadium. The New Yankee Stadium feels like a museum. Hopefully the greatest baseball fans, Yankee Fans, will warm it up.

As much as I like the new Mets ballpark, I wonder when they get rid of the name Citi Field, how long it will take to remove all the signs, decals on the seats, etc? It's just a matter of time. I wish they just did it a few months ago. I like either Mets Park or Jackie Robinson Field. Any suggestions out there? Feel free to write me directly regarding this. I understand that smaller ballparks are the way of the future, but this park will have 15,000 less seats then Shea. That means that alot of blue collar fans are going to miss out on tickets. However,if you are a suit then you have nothing to worry about. There will be plenty of luxury suites. Overall, I think the stadium will be is nice. They should have made the capacity around 48,000.

Appreciate it, thanks, at least someone enjoyed seeing the ballpark. I didn't have to record the tour to share with everyone, but I thought people would like to see how it looks before April 13th. I went on a tour with a season ticket holder. I don't know if they give tours to anyone else. It doesn't hurt to call up and try though.

Anyway, I can't wait till baseball season starts. Only problem I have with Citi Field is I wish there were more seats. For a NY team there should've at least been about 46-48,000 seats.

Also, for chrissake please redevelop Willets Point. Unfortunately I don't see that happening any time soon with this horrible recession :-(

shea's average attendance over the last 5 years was 46,000. That leaves a lot of empty space in the stadium. so the seat count in citi is just right. the only time shea even came close to selling out were on events like opening day, the yankees series and the playoffs. thats only about 5 games a year. it would be an expensive waste to add another 10,000 seats that would hardly ever be used.
