The stupid gov enacted a "Buy American" provision in the "stimulus" bill which created a BACK DOOR TARIFF on products bought outside of the US. If you have purchased anything from another country in the past 2 months, you got a "Foreign Transaction Fee" of 3%. This is one of the changes that caused the depression of 1929-1945, and will cause instant inflation of 3% on all products from out of the country. I bet there are ways for the big companies to get around this, but not the little guy.

The difference is that congress has the power (if not the will) to abolish the fed.

The global currency will NOT be answerable to congress, and therefore we have lost our independence at that point, since we are all aware that money controls politics.
