To tell everyone the truth . The only sure true way to grow your hair is to drink water and to take your daily vitamins. Your hair grows at its own pace unless you do these hings. Hair oils only stop the hair you have already grown from falling out . It dosent help it grow.

I use profectiv products and the shampoo really works... I've tried products with alcohol such as herbal essence and most of my hair broke off

ive used profective line products when i was relaxed and loved it, have not tried to use it on my natural hair. I agree with you though too much alcohol on anytype of hair is damaging, its great to be conscious of exactly whats going on your hair, just as you would your body. your hair looks really healthy too

I think the first few minutes could be eliminated so we could get to the point quicker. My hair is down my back and I would recommend as little heat as possible and Agadir Argan morrocan oil applied to the ends before wrapping every night. No flat irons! Her advice is very good as wll.

Especially when Im wearing my hair in it's natural state. I think everybody just has very different hair, and when I say everybody, I mean, every black person. It's awkward. What's weird to me is that I can use some white products and not others, I can use some hispanic hair products and not others, and I can use some black products and not others, and I'm black. Therefore, I think growing your hair out is a process where you have to find out what works for you.

I would recommend using Herbal Essences conditionders b/c they are very moisturizing...... you can use alot of the products not marketed towards ethic ppl just make sure you read the labels for ingredients

Yeah this is the only method I found that has grown my hair really fast with out me using products or chemicals that promise that result and I never achieve it, I think this will be great for you! Just try it and see what you think but it is the most healthy and anti stressful hair method I have found

i agree with you 100% lolita about grease,i don't use grease at all in my hair,i hate how greasy and heavy it makes it, i use other forms of oils to moisturize my hair, i have cousins that can use grease in their hair and it turns out so pretty it usually won't be very movable or flowy but it be silky and smooth but grease does not do that for my hair, i just don't like my hair greasy, i like it silky and i like it to be able to move or rub my fingers through it without having a greasy palm, lol

Cetal Alcohol and steral alcohol is a fatty alcohol .. it doesn't dry your hair out .

and a majority of the products marketed towards black people, have the same ingredients as the products marketed towards white people.

People just need to find products that work the them. Regardless to whom it's marketed towards.

Actually it does, Cetyl Alcohol is a fatty alcohol, but the products like Mane and Tail, or regular Pantene Pro V or Herbal Essence lack essential oils added to the shampoo add to those of Women of color lines, that type of product in use on another persons hair not of color would weight their hair down, on our hair it would add moisture. Those oils are not added to Mane and Tail, or similar ones. And a majority of those products are not marketed toward women of color simply for that matter.

@InterrnetStar Oils added to those products protect our hair and soften it, although Cetyl Alcohol does the same as a single chemical it is not enough for curly hair types, because their could be additional alcohol added to those products that are not beneficial for our hair types. Although a shampoo has Cetyl means nothing unless it it working in harmony with the other ingredients that essential for our hair type in the product .

I am not saying that the products are market towards white, I am saying anyone not of color or multi racial. But it could very well work in a black persons hair but I am more talking about natural hair, not processed, Too much additional alcohol from the product can turn curly hair frizzy and dry , but we can agree to disagree, LOL.

For me it works I am natural and the site I mention has a lot of people that are both natural and permed and their hair grew to amazing lengths. The more natural your products and less product will really allow your hair to grow not only will you have healthy hair but scalp as well which is a must for longer length and healthier hair.

@baybeefabz the moisturizers are good for your braids but you also need an oil for your scalp Tea Tree oil is really good and acts as an inflammatory, and anti fugal oil for the scalp, you still need to wash your braids with a soft sponge to prevent build up

It is very possible if you have a good diet if you don t then your hair will fall out because there is nothing in your body to keep the follicles or help them to produce the nutrition needed to keep your hair strong while you wash it, this is just one option though, you may also get braids, use a dry shampoo only on your scalp, or you can do a wig method.
