  • i need a first class bj.

  • Ah, pouring the Crystal back in the days before all the rappers destroyed it...

  • Mary, that was a great clip. What a sluce if time!!! Glad you posted it. N

  • What was Clipper Class? Did a stewardess cut your pubes during the flight?

  • @agfagaevart

all their aircraft were named Clippers .__.

  • @gloomyoutlook

    Okay...thanks

  • pan am is still around, but as a railroad

  • @MrTroll199

Juan Trippe would be rolling in his grave

  • Every country has an airline, the WORLD has Pan Am.

  • RIP Pan Am. Great airline; would not have fit in today's world.

  • Traveling on a plane is joining an underground BDSM club. Uniformed authority figures treat you abusively, order you around, and grope you in intimate places. If you're really unlucky (or lucky if you like BDSM), they'll make you take your clothes off and put a finger up your butt.

The analogy is so uncanny that I'll put it out there: if you go through the TSA checkpoint in a gimp suit and send me the photos as evidence, I'll give you 10 bucks for your trouble.

  • I hate the fact that two airlines bought the rights to use the Pan Am Name just to have horrible service and poor management. Not to mention used aircraft. Does not matter who buys the name it will never be like the old days.

  • This bloke is using a calculator!!! That's how it is if you are trying to be cutting the edge in terms of technology after 20 years everyone is having a laugh....

  • She's pouring him Cristal champagne! They served Cristal on the house back then?!?!?!

  • WanderingProphet

LOL PanAm does not exist anymore! there wont be A380

  • Pan Am was the most powerful in the world and well popular!

I still miss the huge blue dot on the tail of the plane. Pan Am was the best compare to Singapore Airlines

  • I wonder....if Pan Am was still around today, would they buy the A380?

  • @WanderingProphet

LOL PanAm does not exist anymore! teher won't be A380

  • Its pathetic how the world has change, a bunch of arab destroyed the legacy of Panam, then a bunch of arabs destroyed the world trade center and to ad insult to injury americans elect Barack "Hussein" Obama as president of all the Arabs..

  • @matatan69,

Even though I agree with you, I think even without Lockabee PanAm was dying because remember they sold off their profitable Pacific Division in 1985 to UA.

  • @matatan69 Pan Am was not bought down by Flt 103 over Lockerbie, Pan Am's ills started at least 10 years prior to that, with it's ill-timed merger with National Airlines, following 1978 deregulation act. Pan Am was not suited for the new world of open aviation, and was picked apart by United and Delta unitl it's ultimate demise.

  • This was legendary airline. And that fucking Libyan ruined it bombing down the Lockerbie plane

  • What is that contraption the passenger is using at 00:20?

  • @Jeteaime65 It is pocket computer.

  • Dear All,

I have some questions about psychology:

    (1) Why do we love commercial flying?

    (2) Why do we enjoy have lunch and dinner on an Boeing 747?

    (3) If Pan Am has space tarvel service, what kind of enjoyment do we expect for it?

    (4) What do we feel if we are a member of Pan Am Club?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

  • How times have changed...

  • @AnAnonymousWolf yes and not necessarily for the better.

  • harrods coat!

  • I do miss seeing Pan Am 747 classic sometimes, but not as much as I used to. I guess I have move on some.

  • Pan American started in 1964 than Pan American gave up in 1998. Then it started in 2002 again and gave up at 2008. I flew with Pan Am it was beautiful, but now Pan Am don't exist anymore ;(

  • @Postbus22 Nah dude. Pan American started in 1927 as an Airmail carrier. Then it started carrying passengers all over the carribean. Eventually it expanded into the worlds greatest airline. PanAm's heyday was from around 1958-1975, then it hit hard times during the 80's and finally went belly up in 1991 along with Eastern Airlines. There was a different, smaller Pan Am airlines that was around recently but the two only have the name in common.

  • Wonderful to see. Thanks for posting!

  • Excellent advert (from 1987).

  • the model plane is cute :-)

  • Well I just miss peoples attitudes from back then, everybody so hateful now days its just pathetic !

  • Was like that back then. Don't forget the Cold War.

  • Yeah really. Remember when people dressed up to fly? I always try to at least wear a nice shirt but man!

  • Because today most airlines treat there employes like crap and after years of that it shows. Pan Am till the end treated there people with respect !

  • Hey, amazing what you find on YouTube. I wrote this spot back in the mid 80's. The director was Peter Christopherson.

  • Two things we surely will miss the World Trade Center towers and Pan Am at 0:17

  • The service was fantastic... Long forgotten :-(

  • as a suziestew ....a former Pan American Stewardess...

it was the greatest days I've lived the best co-workers...

it turly was a giant in the industry....and, I am so proud to

have had the opportunity I did...

never did I think those days would end....enjoy and embrace all that you love...for everything there is a season..

blessings, and bless 0:16 WTC for I was also with United...

    my 1st love the sky....

    now and always,

    a suziestew

  • For 1991 years that did not pass from this commercial broadcast so much in time either, I did not think that Pan Am became extinct possibly.

Pan Am thinks that it is the symbol of the American golden age. Would these days of 80's be the brightness of the company last?

  • I've flown mainly Southwest, but I really would've liked flying Pan Am had they stayed in business up to this point.

  • PAN AM represented so much tradition....from their Flying Airboats of the 1920s and 1930's....to their wonderful Clipper Clubs....very elegant. Great part of history. Thanks :) :)

  • That good ol 747-200 classic...oh, and the World trade center towers ad a role in the video too!!! dont forget them!

  • Try the 100! I realise the ad shows a pretend 200 but in reality it was more like the 100. Regardless - terrific airline in its day and sadly missed.

  • WTC towers at 0:16.

  • used to fly pan am to visit my uncle in LA in the 1980's great airline, sadly missed

  • sadly pan am is out of service.plus pan am 103 was bombed.and it was flying t JFK.

  • How unusual you seem to be.

  • dude pan am is over its in bankrupt it doesnt excist anymore pan am is another memorie like TWA

  • TWA no longer exists as well, but for another reason: it merged with American Airlines in 2001

  • TWA = Trash World Airlines :-)

  • LOL

  • Huh I thought

    TWA= That Wonderful Airline lol

  • wtf? TWA was great

  • Why are people arguing over an airline?

  • Please tell me you are kidding.

  • its great

    more pan am commercials

    please

  • Pan Am was a great airline with a long history. It should still be operating today. I am sad they are no longer around.

  • The airlines were deregulated in the '80s. Pan Am, I believe, kept selling tickets at the same price while others sold them at lower prices, causing people to purchase the cheaper tickets. Pan Am couldn't compete, and therefore, it went out of business. It should still be operating.

  • Along with the terrorist incidents of 1986 and 1988 on Pan Am flights, public loss of confidence in the airline security also resulted in a loss of trade.

  • Had there been no terrorist attacks on those Pan Am flights, then the airline would've lost trade

  • Don´t you remember:

1988 - Jumbo jet crashes onto Lockerbie

A Pan Am jumbo jet with 258 passengers on board has crashed on to the town of Lockerbie near the Scottish borders. RIP

  • I remember Pan Am flight 103, but not the 1986 incident

  • Dinosaurs in any industry never last. You have to move with the times to compete head on. Ask Rover....they could tell you (but they're gone too! mmm)

  • They dont make them like this anymore! (The commercials)

  • Even sadder, all Pan Am had WERE those faded 747s, because after the acquisition of National they were in debt up to their eyes and couldn't afford to renew the fleet. That was one hell of a wrong move. Without the dab management and megalomania they'd still be around. I miss it.

  • Sadly, the only thing you expect to see from Pan Am nowdays are old faded 747s sitting in the desert awaiting the scrap man, (unless of course you're talking about the 4th re-incarnation of Pan Am). So very sad, but unfortunately the way so many old airlines have gone over the past twenty years.

  • yeah they had helicopters from there HQ in New York above Grand Central to JFK until about the late 80s when there was an accident becuase of high winds

  • Wow I never knew they had helicopters over new york.....and I noticed the WTC in the back, R.I.P.

  • !!!!!!

  • wow

  • Great clip!! More PanAm commercials, please.
