Falta una mejor tecnica en los portamentos,que parecen el boing de un muelle. Luego con el pulgar en algunos bajos se pasa cuatro pueblos. Esta obra es una sereneta, Los maestros Russell y Barrueco la interpretan con un cuidado y delicadeza tremendas. Rafael tiene un gran virtuosismo y seguro que con un poco mas de maduración artística le será fácil destacar. tiene interpretaciones muy buenas, pero por esta en concreto no le puedo felicitar, musicalmente tiene graves errores.

Bream's version is much better as far as the selection of color, the bringing out of melody and the showcasing of fun and joy of the piece. This guy has the technique down, but, I think it sounds like that's his priority. If you blindfolded me, I wouldn't be able to identify Rafael, but Bream, give me 4 notes and I know!

Pues yo si me atrevo a compararlos, la versión que hay a la derecha de Julian Bream no me gusta, lamentable, la ritmica, hace pausas, hace subidas y bajadas de volumen que no vienen a cuento, mil veces mejor la versión de Rafael Aguirre, y el que no lo quiera ver pues nada, que lastima que siempre se encumbran a los de siempre, pareciera que cagan marmol. :)

sargija punk por favor lean bien lo que dije: "a mi me parecen las dos mejores interpretaciónes de esta pieza la de Julian Bream y la Rafael. nunca dije que una era mejor que otra eso es subjetivo y nunca llegariamos a estar de acuerdo cual es la mejor.

A serenata is a light piece of music which not only tolerates rhythmical freedom but in fact, invites the performer to express leisurely his musical feelings. This is not Bach music. In fact, this amazing guitarist demonstrates an extremely good taste by striking a fine balance between expressivity and the compliance to the score. I can only agree with the previous commentator: this is the best performance of this piece that I have ever heard and Rafael is a great new star of the instrument.

Have you ever seen these words in the sheets?, like: rubato, rallentando, ritardando, accelerando, or symbols like a corona (pause) breathings comas???? for instance...the rhythm in music is like a chewin gum...you can dilate and contract. Have you ever listened to Chopin´s nocturnes? You keep the TEMPO but play a RUBATO!

After hearing Bream play this, i cant even stand to listen to this guy at all. Sorry.

His rhythm is all over the place. Nonsensical tempo changes. Generally just rushing through it. Way too fast. Great sound and flawless execution dont make up for lack of musical understanding in my opinion.

alright, bream-english...rafael-spanish from malaga. Might as well say that chuck berry didnt know how to play rock & roll. I reccomend listening better the piano version (maybe alicia de larrocha). Its time for "guitarists" to become musicians (this piece was composed for the piano, just so you know). After that..come and comment..

Esta perfectamente, que pausas ni que pausas, la musica clasica tiene una partitura y asi debe ser interpretada. Yo pienso que, naciendo en malaga, y habiendose criado en la cultura española, ALGO mas tiene que saber q "loadermen". Hay muchos clichés sobre musicas, especialmente la española. Es una serenata, y la melodia se oye tan bien como alguien cantandola. En mi opinon, es la mejor version. Quieres algo netamente español? mira las escalas como transicion antes de la coda. Solo queda decir "OLE!"

Viniendo de alguien que hace esos comentarios al preludio 1006, me asombra tu ignorancia. me imagino que nunca habras escuchado a nikolaus harnoncourt (quien fue maestro del maestro de rafael), gustav leonhardt o nathan milstein interpretar bach. Yo soy de los que quieren ver a la guitarra al mismo nivel de otros instrumentos, ese es mi nivel de exigencia. Da pena ver como existe gente todavia que cae en cliche's y no en estudio serio para criticar. se acabo.

Fabulous! I only know a Bream version of this piece, this is different, more virtuosic in a sense, but with real musical expression!
