He is a great artist. Yes, he is the son of Jim croce, but he can't be compared. It's like apples and oranges. A.J. is his own man, and although his dad was talented, he still can't be compared.
Truthfully, I think A.J. has more musical talent than Jim did. A.J. has many different styles and masters each of them with ease. His Dad would be proud at the continuation and expansion of his musical legacy.
AJ is such a great jazz/blues artist. Why in heavens name is he not on everyone's list for great music? Been listening to him for more than a decade, very hard to find anything ... guess it must not be his first passion, or he's got a crap promoter :[
I don't think A.J. cares about being a super star. I think he should be recognized on his own merits. Your generation was lucky to have Jim. Now, we are lucky to have A.J. Plus, I don't think he wants to make money by singing his Dad's songs.
