This is a very good review and I'm glad you took the time to do this, because I haven't got to my review yet. But, a lot of DJ's are starting to use the c.s.-mini for uplighting, which is cool, but it's a pain with the XLR's on the back (or bottom) when using it for uplighting, even though the bracket does keep it off the ground. A suggestion is to get a 90' XLR adapter or we rally Chauvet to offer an alternative. Great review.
When using DMX (Especially when using a computer interface) I don't see why you would want to do that. When you have that kind of interface I would much rather prefer to make my own patterns, and trigger them when I want.
You can't make custom patterns with any DMX controller, no matter how advanced it is. The Colorstrips are able to control four separate banks of diodes, but the firmware in the fixture does not allow the user to access individual control of each bank. It only allows you to run all of the banks as a whole. The ADJ fixture has control over each LED block.
The macros are accessible via DMX, and if you get creative, you can trick the fixture into running individual banks by chasing different macros.
yea like gotladdertrucks said the adj mega pixel lets you have control of each bank of red green and blue for about the same price the other difference is that the adj mega pixel has a brother the mega pixel arch but the chauvet color strip has the color strip mini so it is up to you but i will buy the adj mega pixel and then use the adj mega bar 50 which is better than chauvet color strip mini unless you want to mach anyway thanks RRollergod
How big is the floor range for the mini would you say?

the only probolem with the full and mini is they can't be paddern changed with dmx unlike adj mega pixel
ledlightboy 2 years ago
Yes you can change the pattern. There is 23 presets in the fixture, and with DMX you can really do anything.
RRollergod 2 years ago
not unless you can trigger them with dmx and still you can custom them in adj mega pixel
ledlightboy 2 years ago
Sorry, I am not following.
RRollergod 2 years ago
can you trigger the 23 presets with dmx?
if not the adj mega pix can make custom ones in dmx
