  • 5:11 : Happy Valentine's Day!!

  • we used to have this on VHS

  • To anyone who says this is racist: Bugs Bunny was singing and playing banjo with a bunch of black guys, that's a hell of a lot more friendly than what most non-African Americans were doing in the 40's

  • I don't know why they clipped the ending; I saw the real ending when I was 7 or 8. I didn't get why it was offensive until I took History of American Theater last year (I was 18)!

  • @AkihiroHattori52455 I also know several Looney Tunes from the 40s and on watching them on CN I observed just the same. It usually does that because they're afraid children of today might see certain so-called politicallly incorrect stereotypes from that age. This channel could well exhibit them uncut on another time of the day, so that many adults that love vintage cartoons can watch with no problems at all.

  • I still have no idea what that key is supposed to be for...

  • @AkihiroHattori52455 i think its to his bedroom

  • These 16 folks might've been offended by the minstrel show endin'. IDK! God bless!

  • merry christmas santy XD

  • anyone else notice that Bugs drew over himself with hiitler hair and mustash?

  • What did Bugs do that was so wrong?

  • Bugs' name was actually used as a nickname here. LOL! God bless! Love the minstrel show endin', too.

  • whats the one where he's a girl and elmer holds him?

  • woah, never seen that ending before.. haha or that hitler deal in the start xD

  • woah, never seen that ending before.. haha or that hilter deal in the start xD

  • It's actually nice to see this cartoon with the end intact. Damn Cartoon Network. They do similar things to Tom & Jerry.

  • i don,t know whan or why elmerfuddbudd closed his account. but lets all be glad hes gone.

  • this is a good and very funney bugs bunney cartoon. i see that asshole video ruiner elmerfuddbudd did it here to told everything that happens. man he was dick why he did what he did noone will ever know but the good thing is now hes closed his account so we rid of elmerfuddbudd for good. good bye to that old dick head and video ruiner.

  • I know right? Seeing his comments with info he copy/pasted from wikipedia ruined our enjoyment, and he was EXTREMELY annoying. at least not anymore :)

When *did* he close his account anyway?

  • now they pickin on candians man ppl had a lot of issues xD

  • lool

  • 1:51 - 2:02 always cracks me up. Lmfao. xD

  • I've seen this on TV for some reason...

  • Lydia Karaoke won't like the end of this video.

  • Personally, I don't see why anyone would take offense to the ending. People shouldn't take things like that personally. It's only a children's cartoon, after all.

  • 4:44 "Merry Christmas, Santy"

  • Can you make "PORKY'S HARE HUNT" for me

  • Classic and uncut!

  • I've seen the ending to this cartoon (that has been cut out) before as a child and adult, and what they feel it represents but I didn't think it was that big a deal and it sure as hell didn't bother me. Yet I can imagine some people would get up set. To me it is just a cartoon plain and simple. if your going to get upset over a cartoon , then you must not have a life.

  • why?

  • best cartoon ever-looney toones 4 live !!! bugs too

  • looney tunes 4ever and ever!!

  • I remember watching this as a kid back then, but I never took it to be offensive until now.

  • still wish this was out x.x

  • Every bit of that is lol funny.

  • this is so damn old!!!

  • still a classic nontheless

  • "And the back door, ahhh, here it is!"

    BOOM!!!

    "Oh well." LMAO

  • nice childhood...

    loool

  • lmao

  • Lol, the ending had me ROFLMAO! I shouldn' be laughing at it, being black, but that was funny. How they go away with that stuff back then is just hilarious. It's as if they're tyring to piss black people off, with the cotton field in the BG and all. XD

  • Hey!Don't nobody sing DIXIE like black folk. You ever heard the old OLD white version ...It's a saaaad song.Or it least it sound THAT happy.Besides,'blackface'was just a testimony to BLACKS rythmic prowess.Imatation can be the ultimate complement, the biggest ballbuster,or the most false stereotype.s**t !I don't know

  • resisting an officer, assault and battery, trespassing, disturbing the peace, miscellaneous misdemeanors, public nuisance, traffic violations, going through a boulevard stop, jay walking, triple parking, conduct un-becoming to a rabbit, violating traffic regulations

  • Canadia has firing squads? Nice.

  • Ha ha, Canadia... nice.

  • 5:45-5:54 LMAO!

  • i heard some regarded the last few minutes as racist

but how is a bunch of black guys singing racist?

  • neither is having your coffee black, or writing on the blackboard, but those have been banned

  • because they are white guys in blackface in front of a cotton field singing camptown races which is considered to be a racist song.

  • I thought Camptown races was about horses.You mean"Wish I was In Dixie".right?Blackface?..I thought they were black...My bad..Any way Bugs was black(Lightskinedededed!!)

  • no i looked up camptown races on the internet and they said that is was a racist song because the lyrics are sung in the dialect that blacks in the south spoke.

  • Yes,But the dialect of old southern blacks is the same as old southern whites.I mean, blacks weren't speaking english at all when they arrived..So who taught them?southern whites. But no one ever says they're singing like old southern whites.1mothing? I feel it would be wrong,IF,it was proven Blacks NEVER,EVER sang southernly.I mean it HAS been proven Blacks aren't the only consumpters of chix & watermelon,so that statement IS racist. This is just funny.A person kind the bad in anything if you look

  • resisting an officer, assault and battery, trespassing, disturbing the peace, miscellaneous misdemeanors, public nuisance, traffic violations, going through a boulevard stop, jay walking, triple parking, conduct un-becoming to a rabbit, violating traffic regulations

  • "Camptown Races".

Captown Ladies sing this song Doo Da Doo Da

Its an American folk song and its what Foghorn Leghorn humms by the way :-)

  • 5:40 =))) EXTRA FUNNY!!!

  • camptown ladies sing this song, doo dah, ;-)

I don't know what the deal is with WB loving this song (this is the song that Foghorn Leghorn humms to)

You have to give WB credit for popularizing classic and folk music :-)

  • conduct unbecoming to a wabbit

  • CLASSIC

  • conduct un-becoming to a rabbit.

    ha ha ha ha

    lmao & rofl

  • "...aah,... this one's to the car, this one's to the garage...."

  • i love classic cartoons , i hate anime .

  • hahaha

  • LOL...."ehmmm, what's up duck? :D good old times!

  • sence wen is bugs brown must of been realy old

  • When I was a kid that ending wasent there. This is the first time ive seen it.

However it is still MUCH BETTER then the so called cartoons today. It is a crime to censer them. Thats what they do in the USSR.

  • Camptown lady sing this song

    Do Da Do Da

Camptown race track five miles long

    Oh My Do Da Day

gonna run all night, gonna run all day

Spent my money on the bob-tail nag

    somebody bet on the bay

  • Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

I always enjoy a good cartoon, and view it as just that.

Just because it shows what it does doesn't mean I embrace a "message"

That's how things were back then. No more, no less.

  • wats up doc is the best phrase in real life and in cartoons because it simple and easy to remember!

  • "What's up doc?"=Best cartoon catch phrase EVER! *claps*

  • s.......o

  • O_O WOW...

that ending was SCARY... it went over my head as a kid, but then i learned about Al Jolsen and Bojangles and the whole minstrelsy thing when i went to college. I'm not offended but still...kinda wierd.

  • I'm not offended either, but the fact that it was so random makes me wonder if this is where Seth MacFarlane got his idea for the cutaways and so-called "manatee jokes" (cf. South Park) that make Family Guy what it is (whether you like it or hate it).

  • "I wish I was in dixie"

    I am, I am.

  • Where is the cartoon of Bugs and "Smokie" the Genie?!!!?

  • OMG this is so hilarious!

  • eh what's up doc?

  • Bang Bang Bang !!

    Click, Click !! Click-click-click !!

    No more Bullets!

  • Bugs Bunny - what a legend!

  • I Like Bugs Bunny Cartoon, Too!

Bugs Bunny Is My All-Time Favorite Cartoon Ever!!

  • I had a tape of the unaltered version of this cartoon when I was a kid. The ending always confused the hell out of me.

  • Because of how random it was (like an early Family Guy cutaway gag).

  • Bang Bang Bang !!!!

    Click, Click !! Click-click-click !!

    :p

  • brings back memories

    -damn canucks

  • I remember seeing this one time few years ago and the cartoon cut off at 'Wish I was in Dixie'.

  • lol is elmer sopose to be an RCMP lol!!

  • I love how Bugs's ears split uderground to get around a tree.

  • fo sho, these classic toons are bomb, spongebob is okay and stuff a little fruity though, but tom and jerry and all that jank was fire

  • i bet all you krackers miss them dayz..

  • The ending of this cartoon is hilarious because of the absurdity of it, I have always considered it as the best part of the cartoon. I hate they cut it cause it was not p.c.

  • Love this cartoon! Thanks for sharing.

  • ROFL

  • how come they took this off? now it is Kids Next Door - GAY!!! i miss looney toons, when Cartoon Network was channel 37 for cable.

  • Omg this was one of my favorite episodes as a child. I always felt sorry for Elmer Fudd when he cried. Hah and I never understood the ending. ...I still don't get it.

  • he tricked them into not killin him

  • Why do they cut out the ending when they show it on TV?

  • Because people get offended to see Bugs, Elmer and the men in Blackface as minstrel players

  • Thank God!

This cartoons is shown complete and

    uncut.

  • "Aaah. Here it is." BOOM! "Never mind." xD

  • bang,bang,bang,click,click.Out of bullets?LOL

  • I LOVE U BUGS BUNNY!!!

  • "u kno wat im gonna do to u im gonna punch u right square in the nose" lol

  • BUGS BUNNY, I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH

  • he.....he kissed him....

  • putt some pants on

  • i love bigotry so much

  • bugs bunny's so gangsta. i like how he's standing there like he doesn't give a fuck while elmer fudd is reading him his crimes. "assaulting a police officer... lol"

  • what is the song at the end of the cartoon really funny one

  • American folk song "The Camptown Races" or "The Camptown Ladies". They sang it in blackface, as was popular during the depression years.

  • AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH so THAT is why the VERY ending of this film was cut from American televisions.

  • Very perceptive! Yes, nowadays it is considered racist to perform minstrel shows and this form of entertainment is now taboo in our politically-correct culture though it was once very popular.

  • Yeah, charlotteamalie, I remember, as a child, when I saw this particular cartoon repeatedly, and, even as a youngster, I was perceptive enough to pick up on the abrupt cut on the ending, but as there was no YouTube back in the day, I couldn't figure out what it was they cut out.

Now it all makes sense. Amen.

  • shout, i love all of them...haha

  • ah! i love this one!!!!

  • o buggs den einai pote mlk .......souza

  • malakia

  • which is the first that elmer appeared. Wasnt it set out in the desert and he was a prospector?

  • No. Elmer evolved from Egghead, a character used in several cartoons, especially by director Tex Avery, in the late 1930s. He had almost completely become the Elmer we know by Elmer's Candid Camera (1940) but that later year's A Wild Hare is considered the birth of the complete Elmer Fudd and complete Bugs.

  • Exactly, SHMOOP14. 100% correct! Finally, someone ELSE who knows their classic animation! :-)

  • Comment removed

  • That cartoon is "The Wacky Wabbit" from 1942 (same year as "Fresh Hare"), although neither would be considered the 1st appearance of Elmer Fudd.

  • dude it says "Fresh Hare" right in the begining

  • kool.

    like never seen before!

  • very old but its still a classic

  • how funny, i never saw the black-faced minstral ending. it always mysteriously cut off after "..hooray! hooray!" Now I see why. Eesh. Well, times change.

  • The only thing that really made me feel satisfied about this was that it had the original ending. Most networks end this cartoon when he begins the Dixie song, but after so many years, I finally saw how this ends again. Thanx.

  • Good times, good times‼

  • shit dude i LOVED this episode when i was a kid.... makes you miss being a kid.

  • you are under awwest... lol

  • all i can say hahahahha

  • Strange, I imagined that this episode was in cime-color, due faded look, but it's technicolor according the opening title logo. They should restore it to original technicolor satured colors esplendor.

  • They will when they put it on the Golden Collection DVD set (whenever that will be--it's not out, but if the people who compile the DVDs are smart, they'll put it in the 2008 edition)

  • AWESOMENESS BUGS BUNNY!!!!
