The cast was VERY diverse, just not racially.
They had the Jersey guy, the southerners, the usual gay guy, the old woman, and more. Also you had very different kinds of characters: Andrew, Rachel, Hayden, Monet, etc. All SO different.

@musiqsangel hmm.. ok i guess you're right about that, but she was cast to be a villain for sure. Julie even said she probably won't get along with any of the other houseguests. they've cast her to be as unlikable as Jen BB8. it's safe to assume that they expect her eviction to be early. For once I would love to see real people on the show again. Like they had in the early seasons. Different races of different age groups with real body types. Not the same people over and over (ie shoe365's list)

ANYWAYS i do agree that she's meant to be unlikable, like jen was. but personally i loved jen bb8, she was conceited but she was sweet. we'll have to see about this one..

I said that I was disappointed in the lack of ethnic diversity and that there's obvious bigotry in the casting. And I should be happy that there's one black girl? The arrogance! The fact is the majority of america is WHITE get used to it because it will be like this for a very long time. @rad07h Please read ALL of the comments I've made before responding just the one. I have said many times now that I wish to see more diversity period! BB is supposed to be about strangers from all walk of life competing for money. I don't want the typical skinny models and actors. I want to see REAL people. Many fans agree that this is the worst and most boring cast yet. BTW, I'm adopted into a white family and many of my closest friends are white so no, that's not "the case".

I wish Julie Chen would demand more of a Diverse cast since she is Asian, but it's her life. I hope she does care or have respect to want to see more diversity in the cast and show some of this kind of pride in her Asianess. I don't expect her to be all "Asian" this or Asian that, but I do hope she cares somewhat in this area and would demand diversity too.
Big Brother at times is diverse, which is good.

Respect and Love to The Real World on MTV. But this show has yet to have an Asian Male as a cast member, which is very disrespectful. At least Big Brother has been more diverse.

@deltaboi88 that's such a good point!!! omg... Season 9 was da most criticly panned and least watched of all the BBseasons and season 11 was d complete opposite o dat. There ratings went up so high last year dat I was giddy that they'd be renewed for this year. But this year is totes unoriginal. Maybe the 14th houseguest will gon' be latina?
