Why must all the energy be beamed from the ground? why dont you just have three seperate tethers close to gether, have a large array af solar pannels in space at the other ent of the tethers and charge one negatively, one positively and one nuetral.

@weathercast100 You would have to insulate the tethers which would very likely weaken them significantly.
