Do the individual rollers on the wheels individually rotate? Or is the overall direction solely based on the overall rotation of the wheels? I guess what I'm asking is are the rollers free to rotate or are they motorized and rotate to contribute to the overall direction...
@iamgodlike91 Looks like the mecanum wheels on this RC vehicle aren't synched to me. You could use a stepper motor based drive system to sync wheels. Alternatively, you need to use some form of microcontroller and implement a PID algorithm to sync wheel rotation. The PID algorithm analyses the degree of past errors, the current error rate and predicts future errors; the weighted sum of which is used to make necessary compensation to the drive system in order to achieve the desired outcome.
@Spoif ooh..i'm currently doing a final year project. i have 4 servos. i'm using an Interface free controller card to control these servos. i just hope if i use normal (0) ~ (255) programmed wouldn't effect the 1ms delay in every line.
what do you mean facepalm? Its not in the discription and Im not supose to be able to recognize every single song in the world, not even every song from ACDC.
@bronzehydra3 maybe I fail for not recognizing a song, but you fail even more for insulting someone about it, like its the law or something, to recognize every song in the world.
THat is EPIC.
how are the moters being powered when it moves sidewards?
and is there any problems with thing getting stuck in the rollers?

Freking awesome by the way.

@bronzehydra3 I hardly think not recognizing a song makes a person a total dumbshit.

Hey guys this is team 3370 and we were wondering how you guys were able to mount your mecanum wheels on to the robot using chains. Thanks!

What size are those? The 8" or 6"? Do you think handheld drill motors could easily drive the 6"?

@LoudSilence08 You can order them from andymark or make your own :)

that would certainly help with parallel parking
