The secret is to not blow them up too much so the air has a place to go when you twist. Also sqeezing, and softening the balloon helps.

I'd recommend using a third pinch twist at the sword / handle base to make the blade less prone to flop sideways on a good hit.

Nice design, (I normally do a 1 balloon cutlass/ pirate sword like that, but I think I'll start doing my own twist, [pun intended], on this sword).

I thought about using a third pinch twist,(I do when I make a Light Saber) I may not have explained this on the video but I wrap both the knot end of the balde and then the blade itself around the two pinch twists several times. It is very tight and will hardly move at all. When I dub the kids, I hit them fairly hard and fast with the sword and it desn't move .

Oh, wow! A tutorial on making a balloon sword.

Your balloons have good quality. Ours here in the Philippines are not that resilient and blow up easily with too much twisting.

Wow, very entertaining video with great tips Ronzo. The tulip twist looks a bit difficult. but overall the sword dosn't look too bad to make! LOL You "dub" them, very clever XD I will definately try this one when I get a chance.

I think its cool that you took the time to say that you stay up on the child and avoid the mm dum dem area it would bother me if someone didn't do that ..... its sad but there are so many sick people in the world that you sadly do have to worry about things like that I wish the world was different but I have got to tell you that that sword and belt are just GREAT ...
