i have a father. i have a mother, brother, sister and relatives. and they're all alive and well. but i'm an orphan. i haven't talked to my dad for years. i haven't talked to my mom, brother and sister for months. i haven't seen anyone for years. it is not we don't have money. it is just the way it is.
that's the reason i came to this video - to see how the real orphans are like. sometimes i really wish i was born in a family where there was some love and happiness and that i was different.
just by knowing that you have a family, where they live, and that you can contact if you wanted to is a blessing in itself. You're on this earth once. Make the effort to have the family you want. Don't be a victim. Take the opportunity of having a living family and mold it into something beautiful. You can teach others how to treat you. It is unfortunate that there are real orphans in this world, but we all have an opportunity to do something big in our life times! Don't let your wounds stop you
You're lucky! I WISH I was in your shoes. I wish I'd NEVER met my parents in the first place!! They're TOO fuckin strict, they don't let me do what I want to do, they're just like the media, ALWAYS in my business and talk shit, they don't let me come home at 3 AM, and the list goes on. I would be SOOO happy just to live your life and move out on my own and become independent. Remember, when you're going through a bad time, there is ALWAYS someone out there that would love to be in your shoes.
@yungtrill420 You have parents who support you. I'm assuming you can't leave your home because of financial reasons, so I'd be thankful for the fact that you're eating and sleeping in a warm home and without needing to pay the mortgage if I were you. Being ungrateful to the people who feed you and let you stay in their home and use their electricity is foolish. Heaven forbid you have rules while in your house. I'm sure when you have kids living with YOU, you'd expect them to follow your rules.
The growing African orphan population is heartbreaking -- however, each person can make a difference. One small way is on Facebook.
Join the Gene Smart Wellness fanclub; after Gene Smart gains 100,000 members, they will fund the creation of a house in Masoyi, South Africa for an orphan family.
There is an orphanage in Jamaica called Blossom Gardens that is apparently helping people to adopt for free. Do a search for Embracing Orphans on Youtube and google to find more information.
It was really heart breaking to see these young children deprived of the basic necessities of life. We can all help end their sufferings by supporting organizations that are working for them like Food for Orphans.
helping 1 life will not stop the original problem. without decent vegitation some countries like africa will continue to be poor in certain places for eg.
and organizations take ur money. u never know where its going . :S

Adopting my daughter from China last year was the best thing I've done in my entire life. She means everything to me. This video is beautiful and sad. The music really moved me - can you (or anyone) tell me who/what it is? Thanks.
i feel sad for those kids. Us here who have a computer and are able to spend free casual time doing things...while these kids most who have nothing.. in africa some dont even have enough food to eat.
We all are obliged to do something about trauma, disasters, and other ill befalling our fellow humans. There is no measure to what that thing is, though. We are, each one of us, bound to act on some level above apathy or worse. And so if it's a little that you can do, whatever it is, it will be appreciated.
As the mother to a young girl adopted from China, this especially touches me.
No matter the issues surrounding adoption and international adoption, a family that will love and nurture these children is the most important thing they can have. I hope this short film gets some recognition - these children deserve to have loving homes.

If there is some god, this is all part of his divine plan. How brutal for so many innocent kids to suffer.
