I also have a feeling from just this clip, which wasn't complete with all the riders that the Portland WNBR organizers were correct that the amount of riders (most but not all as naked as you could be for safety sake while riding a bike) was more like what the Portland WNBR said it was of 17,000. Now, I've heard word, and this to anyone connected to the Portland WNBR, that the Portland WNBR is thinking of moving the start time for the evening ride from 10 pm to MIdnight.

@sneezyize That to me does not make a bit of sense and so hope that the Portland WNBR does NOT do that. Because there will be much less spectators on the streets. And although I know about the importance of the issues that surround the WNBR, and if I get the chance to go out west to participate in the Portland WNBR, I might have been offended by the one guy's comment about my or other guys 'peckers' -- I still like some of his comments especially the woman's bachelorette party

@voxclimantis When it comes to riding a bike, that's not necessarily true. Any safe bike rider (naked or not) would no that it is common sense safety to wear a helmet & sometime a footwear when riding a bike (sometimes kneepads). When I get down in weight, buffed up a bit, get that bike & accroutements in time for a couple of World Naked Bike Rides in 2012, four which would be spread out enough to do so (1st: Toronto, 2nd: Chicago, 3rd: Portland, 4th: Seattle), I will wear those 3 items.

@sneezyize And I would otherwise agree with you the other two items, backpacks & other clothes (besides helmet, shoes & kneepads for safety) do not make it really a naked bike ride. There are other ways to carry things on a bike than using backpacks & from what I've read from more experienced riders both from these Naked Rides & elsewhere, backpacks really can weigh you down. I would be tempted to tell guy from the sidelines saying about showing our peckers: "Why don't you show us your dick?"
