@nspartan011 I agree!! This has always been one of my favourites, because it had Sesame St, the Fraggles AND the muppets all in one show. It was the best of all the Henson creations
@nspartan011 I agree!! This has always been one of my favourites, because it had Sesame St, the Fraggles AND the muppets all in one show. It was the best of all the Henson creations
@nspartan011 Sadly, this can't be since Sesame Street is owned by one company, Fraggles are still owned by Jim Henson Studios, and Disney bought the rest, via Wikipedia.
The weird thing about this is Fozzie's mother made the announcement about two people having to sleep on coat hangers after they did the carol sing on the DVD, here she mentioned that before. I can understand about some songs being cut, but I'm not quite sure why that part was reversed.
It wouldve been funny as hell if those fraggles kidnapped Kermit & Robin went back upstairs to let everybody know what happened. LMAO "That Pebble has been a gift 37 times" Now That's a damn shame. The intro to the song "Pass It On" is funny as hell.
@Xerock This is a little bit off topic, but do you think that Bubs from Homestar Runner may have been inspired in some way by Dr. Teeth? Wouldn't surprise me, the series HAS made numerous Muppet references...
@Xerock That reminds me, Craig Zobel and Matt Chapman are currently writing a screenplay for the Jim Henson Company called "Monster Safari". It probably won't involve the H*R characters, though.
the last time i watched this was a couple years ago. we spent hours digging through the mislabeled VHS tapes our parents had recorded off tv trying to find it and finally did. : ) So much love for this
@Mattox521 Correct. I believe the next closest time would be the wedding scene from "The Muppets Take Manhattan". Muppet Show and Sesame Street but no Fraggles.
@BuckWilliams17 Don't forget the epicness that is the finale of "The Muppet Movie." Every last Muppet that had been created at that time in one shot. Admittedly, the Fraggles hadn't been created yet, but nearly 150 Muppets isn't something to scoff at.
@IJVin Good point. I didn't take that into consideration. All the muppet characters from the Muppet show and Sesame Street is pretty large. There were about the same number (head count) in the wedding scene, but not all characters were present.
So, taking all that into consideration, I believe you are correct.
@TherealRNO I just watched the wedding scene again. I admit that I was wrong about the Fraggles. You are right that Uncle Matt is there, however, he was at the very FRONT, not back.
@BuckWilliams17: Well, however it went, Uncle Matt is there so the Fraggles would be present, in a way. But in this special holiday treat, we got Uncle Matt PLUS the Fraggle Five, Doc, Sprocket, & Muppet creator Jim Henson himself!
@BuckWilliams17: Agreed. But the wedding scene that finally settled the age-old issue of "will they, won't they" with the pig and frog was priceless as well.
@vampiresoldier05 Yeah, I'm still trying to figure out how they did it, too. But I think one person was managing one puppet and Nelson was managing another and each character just 'took turns' talking.
@vampiresoldier05 Not if they took turns. Or they could have pre-recorded the lines of one character and had one puppeteer lip sync while Jerry used the other puppet.
THIS was the only Fraggle Rock thing I've ever seen. I didn't really watch it much. Then I saw a couple of episodes on YT & I began to love it as much as other Muppet stuff.
@BroadwayRULZ Not every Muppet celebrates Christmas, OK? I know Sweetums is Jewish, and I think Gorgon Heap celebrates Kwanzaa or something. Also, Animal is a hardline atheist but loves getting presents, so he puts up with it.

@furrealfriendfan: No. The Fraggles--like all Muppets--are meant for everyone. It is just that society pegs puppetry and especially the Jim Henson format as a "kid's only" product, despite the creation of adult-focused shows like Avenue Q and Puppet Up.
