  • LOL I guess he didn't predict the results of this last Novembers elections

  • I don't care what goes down in the future, but whatever it is I'm siding with the left and getting far the fuck away from the repubs. Racist bible-thumping homophobes with ass-backwards (lack of) logic and the love for greedily hoarding money, that's their whole party in a hypocritical nutshell. Evolution left these people behind, so why doesn't the rest of the country? We might still be in the shit, but life has been a lot better under someone NOT republican, now hasn't it?

    Fuck the right.

  • What Poles?

  • GOP are full of white bastards who are up themselves and the black republicans are nothing but house negroes. oh and a fuck load of far-right idiots, beck, o'reilly, michael weener, limbaugh and pretty much faux noise.

  • "Why does the GOP have such a narrow appeal?"

Possibly because they are evil and retarded. Not a combo for much appeal.

  • republicans make me sick.

  • There are only two countries in the world that has a two party system: America and Jamaica.

Why is it so hard to create a third party so that people have choice?

  • @ RZetlin

Mainly because the 2 parties have built a huge wall, preventing any 3rd party from gaining power.

This is why a liberal like Ron Paul must be in the GOP to campaign for president instead of spending all his resources just to get his name printed on the ballot, like he did in 1988.

  • "Why is it so hard to create a third party so that people have choice?"

Because 'choice' means that voters would have to actually think about issues in order to know how to vote, rather than just automatically vote against "the enemy".

  • The saddest thing about this is that we NEED a healthy, serious, ADULT opposition to the Dems. I'm a strong liberal and Democrat, but I also know our guys in Washington are awful susceptible to corruption. Without a real opposition made up of legislators who actually care about the people, we're effed.

  • indeed, but does it have to be republican?! i would be fine with 2 democratic parties. cause there is enough division within, so you could have a 2 party system, but with the bonus that both actually try to do something about ....all the stuff.

  • @ billyshake

This is why I joined the Campaign for Liberty. Although I am a registered democrat, C4L, begun by Ron Paul, can help get the republican train back on the right track.

I completely agree with you about one party rule!

  • I can only WISH the GOP were full of Ron Pauls. I have plenty of disagreements with that guy, but I can't help but notice that every time I argue with one of his followers, it's strictly about policy. But Dems and GOPers hate each other so much, it's pretty much solely a match of ad hominem shots...myself included. It's pathetic.

  • @ billyshake

Don't believe them when you are told we fight for freedom...

--the real price of freedom, we refuse to pay: accepting those who are different -- as your equal.

In 1776, we would not accept Native Americans, African persons nor white women as equals. Because of our limitations, we only planted the seed of equality. We still are not there.

I do not agree w/everything Ron Paul says, either. I don't even agree with everything I say -- upon further consideration.

  • True, greadbroad; as a whole, that is still much of the problem. I forget that sometimes. If I were King of America, I'd force everyone to live outside the U.S. in an Asian, African, or South American country for one year. Amazing what that does for perspective.

But then we'd live in a monarchy. With me in charge, it's be all crack houses and brothels and that ain't good either. Kidding.

  • @ billyshake

Yes, World peace does seem so very far away -- especially when the rhetoric is hateful.

But your earlier observation about Ron Paul supporters discussing issues rather than going on a personal attack - is one step in the right direction. This mindset of respect for one's opponent is key.

We must honor and respect each other, every one.

  • billy - Though Ron Paul is a big step up from the normal GOP, he make some good observations and ideas but he is still out to lunch on too many things.

Plus something I noticed when I get into it with one of his followers is that its not about policy but about fact vs. fiction. They parrot some of his and that crazy libertarian nonsense that may sound good if you dont know anything but is pure fantasy if ever implemented would sink the nation so bad the current crisis would look good.

  • It's simple, politics is mimicking evolution: the neanderthals go extinct and the sapiens continue onward.

The sad part is that according to that poll, roughly 50% of republicans won't understand what I just said since they don't blieve in evolution...

  • Well said -- and funny as hell -- capn.

  • indeed.

  • Dang!

Cafferty used too seem crotchety most of the time... He was always pissing on Clinton a bit too much ('course I don't like Clinton much either... but he wasn't too bad for a CONservative President).

But this is AWESOME!!! He or his emails here nail almost every single aspect of why the Neo GOP are such assholes!

And all you folks posting here have filled in the missing spaces... I guess that's why there's no remarks from the Kool Aid sucking GOP Rabble... yet.

    Thanx!

  • The Grand Old Pricks have the same appeal as the angry old crazy guy down the block, who if you hit the baseball in his yard, kiss it good bye!

They're assholes, that's the reason, simple.

  • Bush and Cheney are responsible for devaluing the GOP for their own ambition... did they care if the party went to hell.... I don't think so... as long as their corporate piracy and greed could be manipulated at the expense of the American people...

The mystery is why their 'base' never saw they were being used and continued to support despite ALL evidence...

  • The Repubs have made it clear that they won't tolerate members voting on behalf of their constituents instead of the party. That's probably not a plan for success in a representative democracy. As long as they're guided by fanatical fundies, chickenhawks and theocrats, we might as well line up by the top of the cliff and enjoy the scene as they march over the edge to Glory! Or maybe just to end up in the muck at the bottom looking unpitiably foolish and angry.

  • It is time the American people started to ignore the GOP altogether and to look for a new second political party to support.

  • The GOP is now facing the reality of being left behind the rest of the USA and the world. It is know the party of stupidity and ignorance. They will never change until they drop kick Limbaugh, Fox News and Gingrich out of the Republican Party.

  • The GOP let themselves become the party of hate--hate women, hate Latinos, hate gays, hate hate hate. And with Limbaugh, Gingrich, O'Reilly etc... in charge it's not going to change. People like Steele are just wishy-washy changing what they say every few minutes.

  • Republicans don't want to change the base. If they did, they would not be promoting racists as their party leaders.

  • Cafferty for President, lol

  • Why does the GOP have narrow appeal?

There are so many issues with the GOP it's not funny.

    1) The GOP have right-wing crazy host representing them like Rush and Beck.

    2) They like to call out and insult the Democratic party solutions and have no solutions of their own.

    3) The majority of the GOP consist of white, narrow minded old men.

    And the list goes on....

  • GOP = the manifestation of HATE... i think people are starting to realize this -- perhaps hate only works as a social organizing tool for so long -- but when it is brought to full fruition, as in the bush/cheney administration, they inevitably overabuse their power and their 'true colors' are seen by all... let's hope they remain wandering the political desert for the next 40 years at least, or better yet, join the Whigs in the dungheap of history...
