  • Draw. White has to check and black can't take with queen or would lose rook. If white doesn't perpetual check its over because rook goes away.

  • That was a draw!

  • Comment removed

  • I think Ian won because at the end magnus could not move his rook because it would put him in check and he could not defend it with another piece

  • @TheMiwaro But Magnus could put Ian in check and force a queen trade... why they ended when they did I don't know.

  • Nobody won its a Draw

  • its a draw white has a perpetual and if qxq then pawn takes with check and black loses the rook good game I hacer carlsen he's over rated radjabov is the man

  • THE NERDY CROWDS AND MAGNUS = A GREAT SHOW

  • what about Qg6 check and so on...

  • @MrRazorblade999 K good for you.

  • That chick is totally checking out Magnus. He must get so much pussy on the road at these tournaments.

  • @xxxIronLeexxx I strongly doubt it...

  • at 1:04 there was an earthquake due to awesomeness

  • @syeddawdye747 lol dude, i suppose u mean Qg6,and ofc nepo wouldnt capture the queen...He would play Kg8,knowing that the e5 rook is pinned so it was actually a draw.

  • I can't masturbate to this. The camera should have focused more on the hot blonde in the middle.

  • @MrRazorblade999 i find it a lot more convenient to masturbate to something called porn...you should try it

  • @sakraye Thanks for the advice. Any favorite site you can suggest?

  • @MrRazorblade999 nah brah

  • why u moron say its 0 1 when its a draw

  • no le ven algun parecidoa alguien al arbitro???

  • Dg6+ why Carslen didnt move that?

  • carlsen has never beaten this player O.o

  • 1.Qg6+ 2.Rg8 or Rh8 Qe8+... is drawn don't Qxg6 by fxg6+ if Rxg6 or Rg8 or Rh8 , Txd5 white wins one piece else if Qg6+ and Rg8 black's Qe8+ and white Qf8, Qxf8+ Rxf8, Txd5 is drawn or nothing xD f1/2-1/2 is just

  • They made draw, Carlsen didn't resingn. Why do you think Nepo think so much to play such an obvious move like Rd5 ? He was trying to find a win, but he couldn't manage to do so. At 7:41 we can see he says something, and just after he is looking at Carlsen.

Also the line gave by erick is right and Dg6+ is a perpetual.

  • @Pitchoun1417 look again he did resign

  • @Pitchoun1417 I'm missing something here. How can Carlsen, at this point, force a draw? His rook is pinned. If his queen slides into the check positon, Ian swaps queens and takes the pawn. Seemingly a favorable position.

  • @Pitchoun1417 I take it back, I see it now. It's a draw. If Magnus puts Ian in Check, Ian has to move back or lose the rook at the end of the exchange. I got it.

  • @eeeeeriickkkkk after 1.Qg6 Kg8, black is about to lost but not a draw! Coz 2.Re8 Qf8 3.Rf8, white wins the queen! I am confused why Calsen resigns at the end, his clock is not flash, isn't it?? By the way, white can gain even more material coz after 3...Qf8 4.Qe6 Kh7 5. Rf8, white gains the black queen in returning no material.

  • @tianlusaid are you blind? the white rook can't be moved.

  • @tianlusaid

"Coz 2.Re8 Qf8 3.Rf8, white wins the queen!"

Re8... look at the position again you moron.

  • @joyfulvulture

i know the internet is full of assholes but i didn't expect to see one in the chess community. is he really a moron for missing a move? if you think that then i guess nearly every grandmaster is a moron

  • @SamPaxton3

theres a difference between missing a move and acting like your 10 second analysis is the truth, moron.

  • @joyfulvulture

your comment makes no sense. yes there is a difference between two completely unrelated things, fantastic discovery. anyway as i originally said you can't call someone a moron for missing a move. everyone makes mistakes especially in the chess world

  • @tianlusaid The white rook is pinned.

  • @eeeeeriickkkkk after 1.Qg6 Kg8, black is about to lost but not a draw! Coz 2.Re8 Qf8 3.Rf8, white wins the queen! I am confused why Calsen resigns at the end, his clock is not flash, isn't it??

  • @ZipLineAttack It's a draw... eeeeeriickkkkk explains why is that... Nepomniachtchi offered a draw when he played Rd5 and Carslen accepted...

  • who win ??

    magnus carlsen lose for time?

  • @lazylazycom Nepomniachtchi won. White rook on e5 is pinned to the white king on the dark diagonal by black queen on d6. The rook cannot move. Nepomniachtchi builds up the attack on the e5 rook with Rd5 and the position is lost. The white rook will fall and material advantage will be enough to secure an easy endgame victory.

  • @ZipLineAttack Yeahh it's a draw !!! dammit

  • look at the blonde chic in the back, she's probably thinking whoever wins gets to date me.

  • @Apoic123 Hang on, most interesting comment of the lot, gonna check her out now ;-) thanks, fuck chess - I wanna fuck her!

  • @Kenmorfdublin the old guys behind her probably are groping her when she doesnt notice :P

  • @lllshokoboylll lol! :)

  • perdeu?

  • Rb4 was an outstanding move by Carlsen !

  • please do change the description for this video... the game ended in a draw... so not 0-1 but 1/2 -1/2

  • GAME WAS ENDING IN THE DRAW. QG6+ DRAW

  • ahh ok Ian offered a draw... you`re right

  • I think he probably lost on time!

  • i think they agreed to draw .. it is a clear draw ..

  • Сдаваться никогда не поздно ! Хорошим продолжением борьбы было 1.Qg6!+

    с минимум ничьей у белых.

  • look closely, Ian offered a draw when he moves his rook

  • Carlsen will move his queen in B3, it was a hot check. Nepomniachtchi didn't won this game. They decided to have draw.

  • @hubbyhuppy Qg6 you mean.

  • The description has it wrong - the game was a draw. Chessgames has the game.

  • Why in the world did he resign? Magnus could have played Qg6+.

  • @eeeeeriickkkkk

    Qg6+, Kg8/h8, Qe8+, Kh7 for the 2nd variation

  • @eeeeeriickkkkk Yeah, ino anand is world champion, I'm just saying Carlsen was the strongest in the world for some time. But didn't Magnus offer his hand first? How can you tell the difference between resign and draw? And don't you think there's some chance that the maker of the video made a mistake?

  • @MsJiggleman Yup, they did draw.

  • @eeeeeriickkkkk Haha, no. Which is harder to believe: The strongest chess player in the world missed the simple perpetual, or the person that made this video missed the perpetual and thought black won?

  • @eeeeeriickkkkk

    thats exactly what I thought!

but why carlsen didnt see that?!?!?

  • black one learn to read

  • ITS DRAW look at the ian face at the end

  • Junior Soprano in the back at 3:20....

  • yea..anytime u have pieces with the green bottoms its a good chess set..these are top of the line..

  • its not 0-1 its a draw

  • draw certainly..

  • its draw! please change this

  • Wow, in chess you have to see all the angles to win. I am very surprised no one saw above the pawn on h3 the hot chick in the middle of the screen above h4!

  • @xplicitstyle no, but it did look like that Qh5 was the old man's erect penis...

  • frickin' sicilian in a blitz game!?@

  • they are both so cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @SongsofInnocence exactly!!

  • it's pretty rare to see the sicilian being played in blitz games because it leads to complicated variations that are difficult to be calculated in so little time...

  • ian offered a draw when he placed the rook.......so its 1/2-1/2.......not 0-1.

  • @prooasis its really 0-1 coz the white rook is pinned to the king and the lost is inevidable so Mr Carlsen resigned. What draw are you talking about?? maybe you watched another video and commented here

  • @kostasrallis no, your wrong, queen checks on G6, draw

  • @kostasrallis

Its draw. Qg6+, black cant change queens because he looses the rock, so Kg8 or Kh8, Qe8+, Kh7, Qg6+... draw

  • eso es TABLAS .... 1.Dg6+ Rg8 y 2.De8+ ,,, El cambio de Damas en g6 significaria la perdida de una torre limpia para el viejo Nepo XDD

  • @mauromanja In your variation 2 ... Dxh2!! seems strong!

  • are you sure it's a draw? magnus has less time and there are a lot of pieces left, plus as zippo said his rook was pinned.

Plus a handshake without words (unless it's totally obvious) means resign. Wish the guys would just lay down their Kings, much cooler

  • @harvkeitel Magnus has a repetition of moves and if Nepo refuses then he loses a Rook. Plus, a lot of us watched this live online and you can check the results if you google 2010 World Blitz Championship, At this level not much needs to be said regarding the agreed result between players.

  • Nepomniachtchi is up and coming. I wouldnt be surprised if i saw him bust 2800 in the near future. Keep the good games coming

  • It's a draw... not 0-1

  • SergeySorokhtin, the game was draw. Which you can find out if you google a bit.

  • hahahaha magnus wanted to draw at infinity check :D haha!

Rd5 and the tower is pinned :D gg

  • Qg6?

  • Ян - классный блицор!
