Thermopylae is a mountain pass in Greece- it is not and never was under water. There were no "Thermopylaens," Thermopylae was actually an outdoor spa with hot springs in its time. The actual word means "Hot Gates." It is famous, however, for the Battle of Thermopylae in 480 BC- AKA the Battle of the 300. Not to spoil anyone's fun, I'm a huge TR fan myself, but this was a bit much.
