  • I like this exercise, I didn't realize that space is needed between behind the knee and the bench, I will make sure that I check on that each time now. Great video

  • i did this for the first time ever on 110 lbs, its been 3 days and i cant walk properly now due to the pain in my thighs when i use them. is this normal for a beginner? any recommendations for when i go back to the gym to use this machine again?

  • @MrAmmo30 yup . it is normal do . just go easy on the weights . you ll feel alright in a week . the first time is always the toughest ! cheers .

  • I hate to criticize, but this routine was done much too fast. You get a better workout doing it at 1/2 the speed illustrated, aiming at achieving muscle failure in fewer than 12 reps. He  arbitrarily stopped at 15 reps without reaching exhaustion..

  • Mike, keep your head in contact with the back pad. When you sit upright the hamstrings are being stretched at both ends. In order to fully contract the quads the hamstrings have to relax.

  • I love these machines, the only bad thing is I'm stuck at 300lbs because the machine doesn't go any higher (and I'm only 15). Is there any that go beyond 300lbs?

  • Someone just told me their orthopedic surgeon told them leg extension machines were bad for the knee ligaments. Has anyone hear of this before? Do u think he meant if you've had surgery on you knees they're bad for the knees?

  • I do 200 on there 10 times and i just turned 14. Is that good for my age?

  • @vigerious 200 is too many.. You must have the weight too low. You should increase the weight until you can only do about 12 of them and feel exhausted at the end. Do 3 sets.

  • You mentioned this exercise is for the quads. I want to concentrate on what we call the 'teardrop' muscle. What exercise can i do for that?
