xperia wouls be way better if it had android. Android rocks. And please stop comparing iPhones to other phones since it is the same as comparing a motorola f3 with an Android smartphone. Only compare WinMo with Winmo and Android with Andoid

Indeed....i owned an Xperia X1 for about 8 months and same thing happened to me to...it started to crack inside. They really dropped the ball on this one and there's no way tellin' if the new smartphones are better. Second thing on Xperia X1 is the damn earpice...now i used to have a K800 before and there was no static, no interuptions no noise sound (this is execrable on Xperia X1). Third nasty thing was the camera....compaired to the K800 cybershot 3mpx camera Xperia is a joke.

@sfarosu yes thanks for your feedback... i sell the x10 as well as the htc ... it will be interesting to see the quality of the x10 over time... note that I eventually fixed my xperia for $70... the flex cable from ebay & the whole Body for $20 AU,i had MY xperia in 500 pieces & after 4 LONG hours i fixed it, also replaced the rom to 6.5, it works great now..and its just lucky also i have some technical mind, I dont recommend any SE products after this episode & will now push HTC Android instead

Ok The latest news I spoke to Alex Godfrey from Sony Ericsson In Australia they will not fix the phone. Why ? It was purchased in Australia on Ebay, but it is an "international phone" therefore it will not be fixed under warranty. However The "cracks" in the phone were infact recognised by Sony Ericsson as a global Fault & yet Sony Ericsson will not fix the phone, the total cost to fix the phone is $380.. it was $1100.00 SE= POOR quality, POOR after service. They WASH their hands, dont Buy SE !

the latest news on the xperia is that it is a hardware problem, after taking it back to repair we discovered from standard use we could not claim warranty because of the glue we used, The problem was with the keyboard wiring connectors $190 later.

above this the cracks in the phone also occur naturally even after 2 months.. many other people have used glue as well.. which voids warranty... please see my link to referring to the "cracks" on the phone top right... note i havnt spent $190 yet on this phone to get repaired because I still feel Sony should do something about it.

but with windows mobile 6.5 and htc sense, it is a amazing phone!

sorry to advise you but not even 6.5 can fix this issue, if you own one, you better hope you dont get a virus cause it will eat our the inner core of your hard drive...ive taken the challenge to all the experts including xda developers ... death becomes my x1... unfortunately,

uh??, if you upgrade the xperia and install windows 6.5 you will se a lot of improvements in the phone.

upgrade the latest software in 6.1 & it did nothing unfortunaley its a physical fault in the phone as there are moving parts...

a real shame... i fell in love with the phone at the beginning.. wont be interested in the x2 after this episode

not really i upgrade to a wm 6.5 rom with htc sense on it and it actually beat the hd2 in a speed test internet and boot time the x2 can would be even better than the x1 execpt it has a crappy design and my rom is not a beta its the real deal.
