  • Wow that was intense. I don't even know what a cubit is and i was celebrating the 3rd place like i'd won the lottory. :D

    Happy new year!

  • whats a cubit?

    great stuff! well done1

  • Congratulations, KC. Maybe these videos weren't quite as instructive as your five minute games, but they were very entertaining (as always). Thanks!

  • if not instructive i find your videos entertaining

  • Great tournament video series.

  • These videos are very fun to watch!

  • I like these tournament videos! And yea, you really need to stop beating ppl on time to keep up with those crazy fast players who win them xD.

  • Hate you? I love the warzones!

  • Lotz of fun to watch these, the length is perfect for a daily dose of kingscrusher. Keep doing them, more fun than watching blitz games which I also love.

  • Haha, nice man. That looks like fun. I might have to try and play in some warzone sometime.

  • 20-4 record. You forgot to double the cube after your first loss and when you had 178 points, costing you 4 and 10 points respectively. Each of the losses effectively costs 22 points as well. You finished 38 points out of second, and 122 out of first.

Four losses is 88 points, plus 14 for doubles missed, plus if you'd picked up 20 points for the game that ended after the end of the tournament, you'd have tied. The winner was 25-0, doubling all games. Second place was 21-2, doubling all.

  • great job man but I must say that your laugh sound quite creepy at 4:52 ;-)

  • congrats kc!

  • Lots of fun to watch.... instructive in the aspect of never give up, always look for something to save your position and turn something ugly (at times) into a win!

  • @scottie55901 Yes two minute chess is fun like that - you can always try and win on time even in a totally lost position :)

  • maby some 5 min icc new series of videos i hope at some point :)) ns

  • Gratz!! you did very well in those games, you deserve this 15k cubits ^^

  • I think that you must be proud of yourself finishing on third place and being congratulated by all of us. There is really something artistic in this game and pitty we don't have this kind of competition in music...

  • @markomelesmiha We have the X-factor for music - that is sort of a knockout format

  • it was very fun watching going crazy for the quick wins :p

  • Fun to watch :p

  • @Attlanttizz Fun to play too :)

  • gratz. great stuff. 15k cubits. not bad...not bad at all.

  • @MrWp97 Yep, I think I might aim for a Trompovsky video next time I get over the 50k Cubits mark. Julian Hodgson was very original and creative with the Tromp.

  • This Dec5 series was actually kind of sad, as the style of play was very poor compared to most of KC's games I've watched (both video and live). KC is "usually" concerned with quality, but these Dec5 games were more concerned with gimmicky cheap play, which often inadvertently resulted in long games, due to weakened positions. I know time was tight, but I've seen KC play way more solidly in 1min games for hours.

KC- bring back the quality! You have the PowEeEeEeEeeRR!!!

  • @peepeeland Here is a fun quote for you from Fawlty towers - about things in context - "Basil Fawlty: Well, might I ask what you expected to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? The hanging gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically..." :)

  • What's a cubit worth?

  • @HannuMarijarvi I can get to buy some videos by even higher titled players than me - or extend my membership further, as two of the options for cubits.

  • @kingscrusher You have a great passion for the game. Not many strong players would respond to questions by random people on youtube. You're first class.

  • Congrats man, fun to watch the tournament.

  • nice one

  • great set of vids, fun and instructive!

  • Congratulations to Kingscrusher. I played in this tournament but won only 50 cubits.

  • what do the cubits do for you??

  • this was just what i needed after work, thanks!

  • well done!

  • congrats, great job!!! i am totallynewbie on chesscube rated 2008, your videos helped a lot!

  • @ChessGraveyard Cool :)

  • GRATS BRO!!!!!

  • congrats but rly why u play this ?

    1. 2 min games where u try with 2 move mate ( that dont work in 90% of games )

    2. lots of time u just win on time

    3. play vs much lower elo players that u

    4. gain cubits with which u can buy some begginer lvl videos about some openings

i enjoy ur videos but like more 15 sec ones with ur dog then 50 minutes of this

  • @zelenkooo Let him have his fun, if you don't enjoy it then don't watch the videos. BTW he was playing down a piece most of the time, that's probably why he was going for quick knockouts.

  • @zelenkooo if you played you'd understand how much fun this can be

  • @zelenkooo fun.

  • @zelenkooo Yes, it's great fun isn't it :) The idea is to win as many games as possible within the hour. Check out the 1st video of this set of 5 for the ideas behind the tournament.

  • Congrats, Gavriel! I'm always cheering for you! Go get them, boy!

  • No we love it!! It was a lot of fun :)

    Congrats on 3rd!!

Maybe if some of those bunnies didn't beat you, you would've got 1st :P

  • hysterical "unbelievable! unbelievable!"

    nice playing KC.

  • I love these KC, a lot more than the instructive game series you do. Thanks for uploading all of these!

  • Keep doing these! so much fun. crush me like the bunny-king I am :D

  • chesscube is one of the best one minute site. although the app can be laggy after a long session

  • I think 1000 cubits = 1 dollar.

  • congrats KC. Your happy laughter at the end certainly makes it apparent you enjoyed the tourney and placing as well as you did. So kudos to you!

Hey going in thinking you could win 1500, then walking away with 15,000. Has to be a pleasant suprised.

Although I'm I'm not sure what the cubits are. perhaps you can buy various perks, awards next to your name ect, trophies, perhaps. Whatever it is, if it makes you happy, grats to you,

3rd out of 350+ is nothin to sneeze at. Well done

  • Very instructive video

    WE've learned

    Kings Crusher = Badass

  • What is a cubit?!?

  • @chrisirwin34 Probably some kind of online money right?

  • I thought this video was amusing... you got 3rd place!

  • Haha thanks to you the bunnies got some more cubits than usual, maybe they can improve some now :P

  • great work... You deserved your 3rd place. I think I was as happy as you were. Well, maybe not quite. Your laughter at the end was so funny.

  • I think you did well and I enjoyed watching it! Keep it up m8 :)

  • i like these what can you do with your prize

  • Great stuff as usual KC. Congrats and a big thank you!!!

  • At around 3:44 he couldnt take the rook because of Bb6#.....still won the game and gratz on 3rd!

  • The most priceless laugh I've ever heard XD

Good job, I hope you'll do more in the future.

  • Well done. You would have come 7th overall without the successful prosecution of that Caro-Kann Hillbilly attack at the end. It's usually good for getting one out of a fix.

  • Congrats! That was fun to follow :)

  • lol @ laugh

  • Gz u just won $15 :)

  • some evil laugh
