This shows a very realistic reconstruction of the crash from 1.14 to 1.45. I have never understood why the pilots did not attempt an emergency land at point 1.23 on the flat fields which are right beside runway 26R for some 1 mile long. Instead they risked flying a crippled aircraft to Le Bourget airport which was some 5 km away?
Even if they reached Le Bourget by that time the essential parts of the plane were evaporated so they could not have landed anyway so it seems a pointless decision!
Beautiful aircraft, such a shame that she is not flying anymore :(
maybe the gouverment will vote so she can fly the skys one day ? After all the crash in paris was not the concorde's fault ! ( like the crash from AF 447 Rio- Paris)
People don't need to travel to do business internationally anymore, so the demand for Concorde became less- Therefore causing it to cost more too keep it in service on the ground, than the time it was airborne.
I understand the economics behind scrapping the Concorde... its so sad how some of the most amazing aircraft end that way. XB-70 Valkyrie? B-58 Hustler? YF-23?
We have gone back in advanced travel not forward. the future was supposed to be supersonic but that wont happen for a very long time, to all of you who brought down Concorde and put it out of service FUCK YOU!
so they will save more money if they tok out dc-10 from aviation and bring back concorde better of because think of how much money is being put into dc-10 for repairs etc from constant CRASHES
i blame it all on dc-10 aviation is wasting money on dc-10 and time
my grandad was a pilot for concorde for roughly 18 years he quit aviation due to cause concorde was took out he wasnt very pleased it still bothers him today
very nice vid but i am confused...how did you manage to pop the tyre and make the concorde explode in to a ball of flames when i crash it just sticks in the ground with dust coming off is this an add-on for fs2004
'scuse me, did he really say ONLIEST????? Well, great video anyway...Wish I could have flown ont he Concorde. You think they will ever have anything so great again? ya know, providing it is more fuel efficient.
they never should of stopped them like u said...that was the 1st every accident but app their fuel was very expensive so thats like a big reason why they stopped them flying.
concorde f-bvfb crashed after a pease of metal on the runway poped her left tyre wich hit the fuel tank leading to a fuel leak wich was eanited by the after burner wich made a fire that made concorde banck to the left, stall, then crash :S but i live a copple of miles form an air musem wich concorde g-boaa is in
i just carried on this video froma person that had it and was closing his account and so i asked if i cud carry it on and well here it is i kno there are a few good mistakes he made but oh well :(
And i dont think that the origional creator meant F-BVFB was the aircraft that crashed because it later shows F-BVFB at germanys technical museum where it lies today
I LOVE Concorde's famous left turn off of JFK's 31L, and this video shows it better than any other (at 1:50).
Also, dunno why, but it's always seemed that the French pilots made the cut a lot tighter than the British pilots... who themselves usually did it somewhere between 20 and 25degrees.
i think she was the aviation worlds greatest achevement i dont care what they say about the A380 concorde was and still is the best bird of all time oliolster
First off... Concorde was made by a consortium that was French, British, AND German, AND Spanish; so there goes your argument.
Secondly, while Concorde served five continents with scheduled service during its tenure, only two scheduled destinations (New York City and Bridgetown) managed to survive to the end... so they certainly deserve the Concordes that they have on display there (G-BOAD and G-BOAE, respectively) as well.

Rikesh99V 3 years ago
It just wasn't economical to fly anymore.

concord stoped because one.....its too expensive to fly...
also the last one flying crashed not long ago, and thats what ultimately led to the programs end

You can blame part of it on the DC-10 I guess....It was the root cause of the crash.

Oh fuck you you jackassess. Degrading my comment. It is true a fucking piece of a DC-10 brought the concorde down!
MMSband737 3 years ago
hey i just upgraded your comment
you are very correct
it was DC-10 fault
bare in mind concorde only ever crashed ONCE
DC-10 have no end of crashes
so they will save more money if they tok out dc-10 from aviation and bring back concorde better of because think of how much money is being put into dc-10 for repairs etc from constant CRASHES
i blame it all on dc-10 aviation is wasting money on dc-10 and time

the root cause of the crash was debris, gone unnoticed on the runway, by a less than attentive ground crew.

That is not fs 2004 or fsx, it is a virtual model of the crash. I saw it on a tv show with that subject.

it seems strange that so many things could go wrong by accident and then they cut a production line... sad to see a master piece go...
hiorka 3 years ago
Couple of things wrong with this:
1) it was Concorde F-BTSC that crashed, not F-BVFB
2) the fire was ignited by undercarriage wires, not afterburner reheat
ImmortalSynn 3 years ago

The consortia that created Concorde were ~primarily~ British and French, but also had heavy German and Spanish contributions as well.
