This show would have been much more interesting with a group of survivalists and a more ambitious route. Instead it is more about human psychology than actual survival.

Love the show. Most people are so coddled they can't make it 10 days in the wild. Send them to military SERE school - this would be a picnic then. Surviving in this kind of situation is about 90% mental - takes a good positive mental attitude. As soon as you give up the fight to survive, you're done.

These areas aren't as hard as they make it up to be to live in. But the show is amusing to watch these people try to survive here with hardly any outdoor/survival experience. And I'm sure Les Stroud (who, btw, is better then Bear Grylls who receives support from a crew) can survive in the same place for months at a time.

Trish (the shcool bus driver) is doing real well, she hunts and shoots like a pro and is pretty darned determined to get things done. Even looks better too they've lost weight during this show and seem to have slendered up athletically, although theyre mostly starving daily. :)
