i agree with youngirl67. just like bonham`s perfect for led zep and dave grohl was perfect for nirvana you hear or watch a nirvana gig pre dave grohl and its not half as good the other drummers they had never had the same energy or passion. keith made the whO great!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was funny when Ringo cut Keith's tie... And despite my preference for Keith as a drummer, I respect Ringo, because the Beatles couldn't handle a crazy drummer like Keith... And, apparently Pete Best, from the Hamburg days, was terrible.
girl: 'how old are you?'....keith:''uhmm.. what day is it today?'' damn he's the best drummer ever, and then.....man:'who is your favourite drummer?......besides yourself'' keith:''RINGO'' aww cute!! i love both, but most keith!

I can´t believe Keith Moon was your friend! I waited for the who for 30 years but they never came to México, actually, they cancelled in 1989 and 2007 while all bands had stoped here. I´ll never understand why. I just imagine they think no good things about us, mexicans.
Keith's tooth broke when he ran into a door jamb as opposed to through the door. Keith preferred throwing things, TV's and cars for example, into pools...with water, as opposed to himself.
He actually knocked his front tooth out slipping on cake icing after a food fight at his 21st birthday party. It happened at the Holiday Inn in Flint, Michigan, August 1967.
There was never a dull moment when Keith was around. Speaking of last night, other than Pearl Jam, it just goes to show how talent-less the groups of today really are, no vocals or originality.
You're welcome. I saw the VH1 thing too. Although, thinking about Moonie always makes me smile. Keith was a true original, and must have made for some interesting company. :)
Thanks for that info. I watched the VH1 "Who" honors last night and was totally disappointed. It just made me feel sad at how much we all miss Keith, even today.
Moonie is obviously lit, but I guess that's the man's way of doing things. Wish he was still around...miss him badly!! To all young people out there- watch what you put into your bodies. You are worth more than you know!!!
I'm having BIG problems with my dialup here trying to access this DON E. BRANKER In Concert TV Show. I've already noticed 3 scenes from my favorite gig of all time CALIFORNIA JAM in this video and glad to see it.
I may go to a highspeed tomorrow (Saturday) just to see the rest of this video! Oh, btw, did you say SPARKS? Gawd I saw them at The Bottom Line in NYC many years ago and was sort of hanging out with the lead singer.
That was makeup he put on. I dont know why, it was always hard to figure what Keith was going to do or say. That and the fact he was the world's greatest rock drummer is why he's so famous, still today.
Thanks for your reply.....Although i'm guessing it was my 7 yr old son that sent you a message!!lol. He's a huge Who fan.I'll relay your message to him. Thanks again
Thanks Don for the Great Keith! I spent the 74 year at Monterey CA, watched In Concert TV show sometimes and I was at the C.Jam (what a day!), so lots of unforgetable memories! A hug. From Argentina: Esteban

someone once asked John Lennon if Ringo was the best drummer in the world? John replied"he's not even the best drummer in the BEATLES!"

Bullshit. Period. John Lennon was a egomaniac- without the rest of the Beatles he would have been...you fill in the TRUTHFUL blanks.
