The New Testament is official Church teaching...and its books were decided by the successors to the apostles...it all comes down to Authority...'and on this rock I will build MY Church'...God bless
The new versions beginning with the RV of 1881, are all reintroductions of the Jesuit's Douay Rheims bible of 1610. Compare the NASB, NIV, ESV, NKJV, etc. with a Douay Rheims bible and you will see that they all match many of the Roman Catholic readings!
The KJV is the final bible which comes from Antioch. NO Bible in history has produced the spiritual fruit that the KJV has! I know small children that read and quote the KJV, AND understand it! The Holy Spirit bears witness to the KJV.
The NASB and NIV are both Catholic bibles. They are both based on Vaticanus and Sinaiticus, which no "Protestant" would ever use. The NIV was partially translated at a Catholic university! You need to study the Antioch line of manuscripts versus the Alexandrian line.
Your William Tyndale quote is also wrong. His actual quote said "than thou dost." But I guess if you are for changing God's word, changing a man's actual quotes isn't a big deal either!
