@LuckyPierre78 Really Israel is not a threat? They are THE destabalizing force in the middle east. They bully everyone over there knowing full well the backing of the US is behind them.

They are hypocritical in their actions. It's okay for them to have nuclear weapons and dismiss UN inspections but it's awful if Iran were to do the same thing.

Estimates state that Israel 50-300 nuclear weapons. Iran might get the capability to produce them in the next 10 years.

It's just so one sided.

What if after 9/11 we simply pursued the perps who did it? Killed them & said game over. Mission complete. But instead we started a multi trillion dollar war with Iraq. Now back in Afghanistan. Commentary is a monthly magazine, published by his son John Podhoretz. It's also a wonderfully erudite, scholarly source of opinion.

People like to propose the existence of a global Zionist conspiracy. A Clean Break is not any such thing but rather a sensible, articulate approach to establishing Israeli security. I'm not a Jew and I'm hard-pressed to disagree with any of the points made in the policy thesis.

Podhoretz gives the impression of being reasonable, and sharp minded (the latter can be argued), however his proposal is to bomb a country full of innocent people, most of whom are not "Islamofascists."
