  • Really nice Amy,WA one of my all time favourites, you did a great job. Caught you here in Conecticut, USA.

  • Big thumbs up

  • that was good Amy! Right now Im learning that intro to my daughter, 12 yrs, as yet she hasnt got an electric, but you can do it on acoustic too I think, with pretty good results. (You can see her perform Taylor Swift on the banner vid of my channel, if you like)

  • Amy, you did one of my favorite Ash songs justice!

  • Brilliant. I'd never have been able to play this when I was 8.

Although I only discovered WA when I was 12 or 13...

  • I hope that's a smoke machine and not some Rastafarian in the front row, geesh!

  • She's started even younger than I did,

(about 11,) good strong in-tune chords, nice timing, (where did the drummer dissapear to?)

To Amy, Lass, you're doing really well, you'll soon have your own Band.

    Mine was 'The Boys'.....

    'The Sword'? It's a 'Spade'.!

  • Brilliant, what a talented girl you are.

  • while the actual piece isnt technically difficult, playing fast or slow requires equal skill to sound good , very impressed, she sounds really good especially for her age!! respect, never thought i would see a young girl playing wishbone ash!!! did you tell her barbie was a rocker or something?!?!??

  • Thanks for your comments, made us all smile, shes never liked Barbie actually but fave bands are Wishbone Ash, Thin Lizzy & queen. Guess I may have influenced with background music as she was growing up. :-) Thanks again for your comment

  • no worrys mate! i just hope shes seen night of a hundred guitars (i think thats it) with powell and leslie west and alvin lee and steve howe and...you get the picture! i remember watching it at my dads and just listening to it over and over! andys solo in all along the watchtower was pure old school rock!!

  • Well done Amy. Perhaps Mr Powell's future partner?

  • That would be my dream, I played the song to Andy Powell on his own V and he said I had good pick technique. Martin Turner also said he thought I was doing well

  • well good i started likin wishbone ash at about ur age

  • I love them, went to Ashcon 2008 then went to see Martin Turners WA. Cant wait to see them again

  • Well done kiddo. Very uplifting to know at least one youngster has good musical taste. There's hope for the world yet. Top class.

    AND NO BAD SPEWWIN' EITHER!!!

  • Hi Amy, sounds great, I have a nephew in Belgium who's also eight and playing I will have to introduce you both!! Keep on rocking

    Love from Laurie Wisefield

  • If you really are Laurie, is it not possible to get this band's music in front of the world on stage with one of the 1970's line ups? The music is in the Premier League from Argus to New England but it's now a closed book to all but a few diehards. Last Sunday at Shepherds Bush Empire reminded me of how good the tunes are but in front of not enough people.

  • Great, thanks for your comments, hope to meet you sometime. Its really nice to hear from a famous guitarist, hope I can get to be as good as you one day. Amy x

  • She's in my little brother Alan's class at school. He says that was really good :)

  • wow you are fantastic amy....definately one superstar to watch for in the future......luv ya rock chic.....xxxxx topgear sound tops too....

  • Amy played the intro yesterday to Andy Powell of Wishbone Ash on his own Gibson Flying V at ASHCON 2008 the Wishbone Ash convention - He said she was very confident, gave a wicked rendition and had amazing pick control for an 8 year old.....very impressed. Can't argue with comments like that from the master of the flying V. Wishbone Ash were awesome by the way with 2.5 hour set of solid rock..incredible !

  • groovy rock chick in the making, well done amy xx

  • Tnahkyou. Amy x

  • Awesome she rocks!!!!!

  • Thanks ! Amy x

  • Excellent - amazing talent at such a young age. Fantastic to see great, timeless music being enjoyed by the next generation. If ever either WA or MTWA need a dep, they know where to come...

  • Thankyou so much, was great to meet you all after the gig. Amy x
