I am wondering...What is the BEST tool to capture EVP's? I have an Olympus Digital Voice recorder,Do I need an external microphone for added ability to capture?where do I get one?I cant find anything to go into a voice recorder.I have Adobe CS4 master suite, and adobe Audition, and sound forge software..what else do I need?

I think your voice recorder would work fine. With most digital recorders an external microphone is not necessary. The sound program I use is Cool Edit Pro.

Very good EVPs, "I just broke the ground" sounds like the voice is very distressed, so it might have said something else, because someone that sounded that old wouldn't get uupset about something like that.

I agree...very addictive. But, I can't help wondering if this is what we all have to look forward to when we pass away. I mean, after you die, to roam around the physical world in pain, fear, anger, and/or all the other negative feelings that EVP's seem to capture. It's very unsettling.

The Scott EVP happened just as we were entering a cemetary. I have had my name as well as others in the group mentioned several times and in many locations, including places we had never been before. I am still at a loss to explain this.
