@smily179 Make sure that you don't have open selections (the yellow arrowy things). Also, the fileformat is good. Render it in .wmv and you should be all set.
@xis10ce You can set Vegas to show all frames by following the guide in my YouTube video 'Show all video frames in Sony Movie Studio'. And you can see how to get a frame by frame view in my YouTube video 'Editing in Sony Vegas, moving the timeline frame by frame'.
Also, I am using Vegas 10 - I've just changed the display settings to make editing easier. See how to do that in my YouTube video 'Getting Started with Sony Vegas Movie Studio 10'
@guerillabill i'll check that video out, it would be a great help to see the grid, and i'll check out the other video as well. as always, thanks so much for your invaluable tutorial videos!
@guerillabill I had a question... How do you play a clip in opposite direction not in reverse i hope you know what i mean? please reply it would really help.
@alziegirl You can either make the dimensions of an imported picture the same as the main footage, or you can do what Bill did at 4:35 and uncheck the "maintain aspect ratio" button.
Thank you so much for this tip. I make all of my videos on sony vegas and i love your tips. Do you know how to play multiple videos at the same time? like basically have the screen split up in portions, and have one main video playing but then as you're talking about something, have another video showing what you're talking about playing as well? also do you know how to access all of the music tracks that supposedly came with sony vegas? thank you so much bill!
@alziegirl There's two things you can do. For one, you can use Pan/Crop to make one of the videos smaller and move it somewhere in the video that doesn't block the main footage. Or if you're talking about splitscreen, you have to use both Pan/Crop to fix the dimensions of the clip, and Track Motion to position the clip where desired. I'm not sure about the music, but I hoped I helped. If you have trouble, I can upload a video demonstrating it. Just let me know.
Bill - the muzzle flash image appears to be All right reserved..not Public Domain.

4:00 the better way is to change the layer blending mode to add or screen by changing the option from source alpha just under the name of the layer

Nice, but you have the muzzle flash bacwards... the triangular/pointed end of the flare should be facing AWAY from the gun.
