I think the most naive approach to the question of 'inspiration' is best. If someone wants to contribute to the fandom and make music they say is inspired by ponies, who are we to doubt them? Even if it doesn't contain the quota of pony samples or whatever it takes to be considered 'pony related', I still say all the more power to them.

I don't care whether your music is MLP-sourced or MLP-inspired. It's amazing, and I will do a Spike "NOOOOOOOO!" if you feel you have to change the way you do your music because of EqD's standards.

Ponies got me into your music, but like Woodentoaster, SimGretina, and LivingTombstone's non-pony songs, I stay because the music is awesome regardless of what they are about.

@ArchieVMusic Doesn't make sense. There already were songs on EqD that didn't have anything to do with ponies instead for the title and the picture in the video. Pretty much like this song here. The important thing is that they are all inspired by MLP FiM.

Recent example would be "Deae Lunae" by makkon06. Got featured. No pony in there except for the title and the picture.

I think Seth just needs more mails flooding his pigeon hole referring to your stuff.

@ArchieVMusic I took part in the discussion when we were in the stages of creating criteria to filter music before Seth posted it on EqD, and based on the guidelines I last saw, this wouldn't pass the pre-listening group, regardless of how fucking sexy this track is (which it is)

1. Create a "connection" between the song and the show, whether it be through lyrics or the general feel of the song. Protip: Write a short paragraph in the description explaining what you were going for with the song; anything to help your case.

@ArchieVMusic 2. Building on #1, try to use samples from the show (vocals and/or SFX) to make the song's relation to MLP clearer. Of course, slapping on boatloads of show samples won't guarantee that your songs makes it through the pre-listeners.
