Iran would be easy to defeat, even with conventional capabilities. I'd be more worried about Pakistan and Islamists there getting ahold of nuclear material after such an invasion in Iran and not caring if Pakistan is destroyed by us if they use those devices against us. They're not rational, so you can't expect rational fears to dissuade certain behavior. Hopefully rational people in Pakistan are keeping that material secure.

The statements made by US, UK, Israelis etc., backed up by findings of the CIA and Mossad and so on, is concerns about speculations that Iran might, in some unspecified number of years into the future, develop nuklear weapons. But I guess you know better... Personally I'd be more worried about Pakistan which has nukes and, thanks to a string of paranoid military dictators, is packed with militants.

All I have seen on the US news channels are portions and sections of his speech taken completely out of context.
