agree move feet a little more and that head size on that raquet is way to big for a one hander u wont be able to get any swing speed, you can tell too. u hit the ball well but with just a few improvements you could step ur game up tremendously
@AlexIverson333 oh no, i get great swing speed, my racquet is 8.8 oz strung, about 240 grams. i tried a classic racquet this past weekend, about 12 oz, 360 grams... it was easier to hit groundstrokes, but harder to hit a big serve and a firm volley
@Phillipkim224 A fetus (pronounced /ˈfiːtəs/; also spelled foetus, fœtus, faetus, or fætus, see below) is a developing mammal or other viviparous vertebrate after the embryonic stage and before birth.
Sorry to say but your lazy dude, your footwork is terrible and you dont hit through the ball enough, you need to follow through more, thats why your shots are quite loopy so it makes it easier to hit deep and wide. If your opponent was half decent then he would have picked up on this!
I don't see a good baseliner..... he comes to the net quite alot and isn't very good at closing out at the net either, scratch that he doesn't even close out at all.
@wongthefatmun HAHAHAH yes, it's a real size court. It's not Pro specs though but the lights are close to 120 lumens. To be pro, it would need more space around the sides and back
OK return of Hi10 service stay continental or eastern since serves are low, return deep and keep this guy deep with my power. Pound at backhand with inside out at every opportunity. Short balls will be charged and put away with topspin or hard slice. This guy is a demon at the net his strike zone has to be neutralized, his his fundamentals are sound.
OK the tactics against Hi10 is hard slice and flat 1st serves. High Twist in ad court and Kickers down the T in the deuce for 2nd serve within reason if I have it working well. Change up whats working for service winners.Neutralize his net game by hard slice and topspin at the body and try to get framers. If hard shots to the body fail topspin lob to the baseline.
The comment from the 14 year old is very uncalled for. I'm 52 years old and can serve over 100mph on my first and can kick my second right over a 14 year old's head. A teen has very little power against a grown man hitting topspin that can knock the racket out of a teens hand. Be constructive and realistic.
You cant have played with many teens then... I play with many 16 year olds in my club and they all have very powerfull and aggressive range of shots, if it was anyone that can knock a racket out of someones hand it would be a teen
when I play junior players, I play like an adult--i chip, i slice, i loop, and i come to net and BRING THEM to net. against most juniors that's a devastating combination. only really disciplined and complete juniors beat me. usually high ranking 16 or 18's. top 14's--I've lost to like #1 #2 level kids, but the lower level 14's can't hang
I don't think that's really accurate. Both men are moving, and your observation that the asian one moves worse is really off. The asian one has better footwork for sure, especially evident when hitting approach shots (he has better balance and actually split steps). The white one doesn't split step at all. The white one runs into his forehands on the run, and he bends his back instead of his knees on low balls. In fact, the white one doesn't even keep his head still throughout the his strokes.
Yea. I think the trophy pose is overated. Wat matters in the service is racket drop and extension. All good servers have a good extension to the ball and a early racket drop to give themselves time to go "UP" to the ball. I'm pretty short so i have a similar serve to urs. The trophy pose IMO ruin the flow for beginners as they stop at the pose and think they completed the serve as many coachs put so much thought into the pose. When they shld be focusin on the drop and extension. Just my thought

at around 2:30 onwards, how come this guy waits for the ball at no man's land? Arent you supposed to stay behind the baseline or run to the volley area, never that middle space?
He was actually hovering around the baseline. Which isn't the normal counter puncher thing to do (which is why I wonder why they consider Agassi a counter puncher, though that is technically half true about him).
Though I notice on your approach shots he anticipates and steps inside the baseline looking for the short approach to attack. At 2:48 he was looking for a drop shot or a short sitting slice. He got the short slice part right.

Is it sarcastic or you think these really have some sense?
Anyway, I am not a tennis coach, nor a pro. I play my 3rd year of recreationnal tennis and started recently to practice my serve and forehand to get my game more interesting.
I am perhaps around 3.0 player if you need an idea and I followed Federer for a while, but see each of his macth since Nadal lost to Soderling.
So technically, I am not an expert if it's what you expected.
but he's very knowledgeable... maybe he doesn't have skills yet, but he has the eye. I once met a guy who couldn't play very well, BUT he had a hell of an eye and could coach... the way I look at it, sometimes you don't have to be a 5.0 to see the court, BUT in tennis, no one will take a lesson from you if you can't play...
I'd estimate myself to be a 4.5-5.0 in skill, 3.0 in experience, and according to some 6.0 in strategy and tactics. O.o Quite the oddity.
My "aura" during high school was a double edged blade. People red lined their game just to win points and as a result they play like a full NTRP level above their normal. I've gotten counter punchers to take rips on the ball in an attemp to win a point off me.
It got to a point where some go nuts when I hit an error on them. Worse if they hit a winner.
I don't coach anyone, nor give any lesson. My game is still too weak to be an efficient example of what I want, so it wouldn't be a good idea for now.
Well, my friend was taught by someone who was maybe a 3.0 or 3.5 player and he turned out great!
If you have a solid grasp of the fundamentals it'd be a great help to beginners. Hell, Pete Fisher couldn't play for his life and he created Sampras' game! Serve, forehand, and all! Pretty impressive...
And if you know strategy, you can pass that on as well. Knowledge can be just as useful as technique. Plus drilling. There's a bunch of things you can do that can help more than you think.
you try to teach like FYB but on youtube everyone see you as a wanna be them and also you are a grownup right down i can see that you are acting like a teenager you fight and argue everywhere and talk shit just be quiet
hey bananaboy, what would you say to if someone says to you, you suck and I could beat you... because i say to you, that you suck and I could beat you...
really on the head size being larger causing injury...now that is good to know. my frame is SUPER light. My elbow used to give me pain, but I think it was an overuse injury--I used to teach like 25 hours and play like 12 a week--all that feeding is not so good for the arm. But now, the only time it hurts... when I hit a ball really LATE and WIDE on the bh
yeh plus although sweetspot is bigger on bigger heads, ther nt as good as smaller head sweetspots if u gd enough to hit it right ol, but they can be very good, be careful withu ur wrist
Who's the baseline player there? I can't see any heavy forehands... And I did saw long drop shots and dangerously placed balls fairly easy to attack.
You often heard the expression "having a killer instinct"? Most of time, it comes up when players don't play agressivly enough and loose occasion to end the point because they lack of confidence. Even pros have this problem.
I know the idea was to slow down the pace and bring him to the net, but you need to kill the ball when you can.
Head size doesn't matter too much, it's all about preference. hi10spro prefers a 113in^2 head. I use a 93in^2 head. All about what works best for you. What head size do you have?
We can't all have head sizes at 88in^2 like Samprass. We're not all that consistent, therefore we must use whatever helps our game, and if you think that bid head rackets make you lose all the time, then go and buy one yourself and level it. Good points here.
DUDE amen! my point has been, I use technology to my advantage...do you walk to work? you take a car...use technology--look at golf, tiger is using a driver the size of my honda... and no one is complaining...get over it.
my point is the old drivers sure wasn't 380cc... and he's not using a wood head is he? but thanks on that one. i just think people are lame when they make racquet comments. pros aren't playing with small heads anymore, people are using graphite comps, not wood. midsize or oversize, no one cares?
Good idea, but about being patient, I think you were both WAY TOO patient. When a weaker ball is hit and allows you to enter the court like these two long drop shots or like some of your stroke which were too weak, you should kill it.
You can use the court and wait for an opening, but don't let your opponent dictate the game like you wait for him to make an error. Please be more aggressive when given the chance; don't wait for an open court which might not come.
i will, but you know here we have chair umpires for our tournaments...and they NEVER call a footfault. In USA, I have only played in one tournament in 20 years that called a footfault. not to say I footfault because I don't, but it's just one of those rules they don't enforce. plus people get mad when you tell them
This is great until a great baseliner slams a 100+ mph forehand to either of your sides, or even better when he hits you on the chest a couple times with a Fast ball ...... Why do the pro ATP players play the baseline so much ? They have respect for the net approach ..... and are superb at controlled passing shots..... That gentleman you are playing with it's not a real competitor either ....... ;)
my friend is 52 years old... that's pretty good. BUT the pro game has two problems--one the serves are too fast to get in. Second, as fast as the serves are, the returns are. I'm sorry to say that perhaps on the pro level, the serve and volleyer dies out and falls prey to NADAL... but I think Nadal is amazing... it'll be interesting to see the player that replaces him
Now an advice for you :D, You could try to hit your forehand a bit more through the ball, cause it seems that you stop your racket from swinging further.
I kinda play the whole court, but when i play good baseliners i try to hit deep shots with a lot of topspin. For some reason baseliners have good ground strokes but don't like deep balls. i think its cause it either makes them hit an on the rise shot or back up a fair amount behind the baseline, which if they do that they are easy to drop. so i just stick with heavy topspin and deep. or wait untill i can go to the net and finish :)
I don't quite understand what they are tying to say here..... serve and volley against a good baseliner? If I had a serve as weak as that against a good baseliner I would get absolutey mushed off the court. Or are they saying bring the baseliner to the net?
You have to bend your knees! doing this increases how much of the rackethead you get and increases accuracy and consistency levels. your groundstrokes are to vertical
stretch us on a passing shot, then pass us the other side. hit one pass, then lob... those are two annoying strategies...BUT your passing shot has to be low. NEVER slice the pass, it slows the ball down making it easy to putaway.
well u dont need to be young to hit a good forhand all u need to do is wind up more before u hit it from my point of view it kinda looks like your not pulling your racket bak alot idk just trying to be helpful
that is true, but there is also the conditioning factor as you add more energy into your groundstrokes. but you do have a point. I don't try to hit it hard...hmmm
Yes it doesnt seem like you are really trying to hit the ball hard but pace comes from a lot of different areas. You can have a lot of pace on your forehand just from a lot of racquet speed. Your stance also affects the pace on the ball. And using your body more effectively is probably the easiest way to add a lot of extra pace on the ball.
nice sv-ing hi10! 3:56 point my fav outta these. the one guys serve reminded me alot of oldschool borg style serve but without the pace and foot faulted often.
i'm five feet 6 inches tall. My racquet is a Wilson ncode n3 triad style, strung with a poly blend--Prince Let Er Rip at middle tension, and it's a 113 inch head size and weighs 8.8 ounces strung--less than a diet coke--the new ncode 2 plays just like it
i think you're a 3.5 to 4.5..... most guys i see in 4.5 to 5.0 have quick feet.... and when you are at net most of the time you are back pedaling.......w/c means you are not confident with your volleys.
HAHAHAHHAHA sorry spreykety... all i do is volley, but I like this. When I played this match it was about a year ago after I laid off for 6 months. I barely beat this guy 7-6 (9-7). Last time I played him, I beat him 6-1 so I'm playing a bit better. NTRP is so bogus anyways--the ITF has a better system--google it--it's a stroke test that depends on how deep you hit the ball meaning i have to hit it crosscourt and my ball has to bounce beyond a certain point to get full score
oh! same situation like mines, im back pedaling when i know that my opponent will be able to return the ball. . . those cases causes me lose the point.
Balut is good to munch on before a match to ensure good ground strokes ;)

hi10spro 2 years ago
I'd estimate myself to be a 4.5-5.0 in skill, 3.0 in experience, and according to some 6.0 in strategy and tactics. O.o Quite the oddity.
My "aura" during high school was a double edged blade. People red lined their game just to win points and as a result they play like a full NTRP level above their normal. I've gotten counter punchers to take rips on the ball in an attemp to win a point off me.
It got to a point where some go nuts when I hit an error on them. Worse if they hit a winner.

do you play for your uni now?

Great rally at 3:36 ! =D I love watching when the defender wins.
willobillo0714 2 years ago
But what I can tell you is that I have made bio mechanical analysis and read for months and months about MLB pitchers.
This experience makes the difference when I watch tennis instructions or ATP slow-motions.
But, you also have to know I happen to like philosophy and always try up to my best to respect a certain logical pattern when I submit an answer.
If you had video watching and know teh very skilled student I am, you may find potentially great answers.
GueorguiJoukov 2 years ago
what's your background?
hi10spro 2 years ago
I answered this one already, didn't I?
You could litterally say I have nothing except 3 years of court experience and video watching.
GueorguiJoukov 2 years ago
you got a good eye. do you coach? you should get involved and coach because you have a good analytical eye which is hard to acquire
hi10spro 2 years ago
I don't coach anyone, nor give any lesson. My game is still too weak to be an efficient example of what I want, so it wouldn't be a good idea for now.
GueorguiJoukov 2 years ago
Well, my friend was taught by someone who was maybe a 3.0 or 3.5 player and he turned out great!
If you have a solid grasp of the fundamentals it'd be a great help to beginners. Hell, Pete Fisher couldn't play for his life and he created Sampras' game! Serve, forehand, and all! Pretty impressive...
And if you know strategy, you can pass that on as well. Knowledge can be just as useful as technique. Plus drilling. There's a bunch of things you can do that can help more than you think.
Oreoclan 2 years ago
true that.... but you don't have credibility.

you try to teach like FYB but on youtube everyone see you as a wanna be them and also you are a grownup right down i can see that you are acting like a teenager you fight and argue everywhere and talk shit just be quiet

i not against big head sizes, i used to use 105 now i use 102,
thy say bigger than 105 can cause wrist injury, might be a heads up but yer tbh it dnt matter
ClayCourt09 2 years ago
really on the head size being larger causing injury...now that is good to know. my frame is SUPER light. My elbow used to give me pain, but I think it was an overuse injury--I used to teach like 25 hours and play like 12 a week--all that feeding is not so good for the arm. But now, the only time it hurts... when I hit a ball really LATE and WIDE on the bh
hi10spro 2 years ago
yeh plus although sweetspot is bigger on bigger heads, ther nt as good as smaller head sweetspots if u gd enough to hit it right ol, but they can be very good, be careful withu ur wrist
ClayCourt09 2 years ago
thats like 110 head size lol what a noob
LEmuex67 2 years ago
113 :D I'll play you with it... and after I win... will they ever ask you, what racquet I played with? who's the noob?
hi10spro 2 years ago
Who's the baseline player there? I can't see any heavy forehands... And I did saw long drop shots and dangerously placed balls fairly easy to attack.
You often heard the expression "having a killer instinct"? Most of time, it comes up when players don't play agressivly enough and loose occasion to end the point because they lack of confidence. Even pros have this problem.
I know the idea was to slow down the pace and bring him to the net, but you need to kill the ball when you can.
GueorguiJoukov 2 years ago
how big is your racquet head? 120 sq inches? lol
shh90 2 years ago
113 AHAHAHAHAH i can't play with 120... I tried...
hi10spro 2 years ago
Head size doesn't matter too much, it's all about preference. hi10spro prefers a 113in^2 head. I use a 93in^2 head. All about what works best for you. What head size do you have?
AirsoftingCARNOCHAN 2 years ago
I feel you my friend, and THANK YOU... idiots, like if I beat someone 6-1, 6-1 there'll be an ass-terick next to it to say big head size racquet...
hi10spro 2 years ago
We can't all have head sizes at 88in^2 like Samprass. We're not all that consistent, therefore we must use whatever helps our game, and if you think that bid head rackets make you lose all the time, then go and buy one yourself and level it. Good points here.
AirsoftingCARNOCHAN 2 years ago
DUDE amen! my point has been, I use technology to my advantage...do you walk to work? you take a car...use technology--look at golf, tiger is using a driver the size of my honda... and no one is complaining...get over it.
hi10spro 2 years ago
tiger uses a 380cc driver, one of the smaller heads. max is 460cc's dont talk about stuff ur not familiar with
yjishere 2 years ago
my point is the old drivers sure wasn't 380cc... and he's not using a wood head is he? but thanks on that one. i just think people are lame when they make racquet comments. pros aren't playing with small heads anymore, people are using graphite comps, not wood. midsize or oversize, no one cares?
hi10spro 2 years ago
What are you teaching us?
sk83rboy21 2 years ago
use the court, be patient, come to net
hi10spro 2 years ago
Good idea, but about being patient, I think you were both WAY TOO patient. When a weaker ball is hit and allows you to enter the court like these two long drop shots or like some of your stroke which were too weak, you should kill it.
You can use the court and wait for an opening, but don't let your opponent dictate the game like you wait for him to make an error. Please be more aggressive when given the chance; don't wait for an open court which might not come.
GueorguiJoukov 2 years ago
horrible footwork
TehAlex2310 2 years ago 2
your opponent is foot-tauling on his serves you should tell him that.
borninJune1922 2 years ago
i will, but you know here we have chair umpires for our tournaments...and they NEVER call a footfault. In USA, I have only played in one tournament in 20 years that called a footfault. not to say I footfault because I don't, but it's just one of those rules they don't enforce. plus people get mad when you tell them

Slow game, irregular form on both sides of the court
AbhiLabi 2 years ago
the volley guy was awesome though
hi10spro 2 years ago
well both players were good, not saying they were bad, just different forms compared to most pro players
AbhiLabi 2 years ago
This is great until a great baseliner slams a 100+ mph forehand to either of your sides, or even better when he hits you on the chest a couple times with a Fast ball ...... Why do the pro ATP players play the baseline so much ? They have respect for the net approach ..... and are superb at controlled passing shots..... That gentleman you are playing with it's not a real competitor either ....... ;)
mannydesalamanca 2 years ago
my friend is 52 years old... that's pretty good. BUT the pro game has two problems--one the serves are too fast to get in. Second, as fast as the serves are, the returns are. I'm sorry to say that perhaps on the pro level, the serve and volleyer dies out and falls prey to NADAL... but I think Nadal is amazing... it'll be interesting to see the player that replaces him
hi10spro 2 years ago
your a very soild player
liampimp12341234 2 years ago
I like your voley, and your racket handling.
What racquet do you use? It seems to be lighter than others... and I am thinking in changing my LM Head Radical, my arm is saying that's enough

wilson ncode 3, the old one. 8.2 oz strung :D it's awesome

hi10spro how tall are you?
hellosomedude2 2 years ago
Now an advice for you :D, You could try to hit your forehand a bit more through the ball, cause it seems that you stop your racket from swinging further.
coria100 2 years ago
that is GREAT advice...and this video is from last year, check out how I'm hitting now...it's different :D evolution my friend
hi10spro 2 years ago
I kinda play the whole court, but when i play good baseliners i try to hit deep shots with a lot of topspin. For some reason baseliners have good ground strokes but don't like deep balls. i think its cause it either makes them hit an on the rise shot or back up a fair amount behind the baseline, which if they do that they are easy to drop. so i just stick with heavy topspin and deep. or wait untill i can go to the net and finish :)
Itachiisgood 2 years ago
good spin is always a good thing... :D Nadal...
hi10spro 2 years ago
I don't quite understand what they are tying to say here..... serve and volley against a good baseliner? If I had a serve as weak as that against a good baseliner I would get absolutey mushed off the court. Or are they saying bring the baseliner to the net?
Jimmy9121 2 years ago
bring baseliner to net
hi10spro 2 years ago
fair enough, thanks!!!
Jimmy9121 2 years ago
You have to bend your knees! doing this increases how much of the rackethead you get and increases accuracy and consistency levels. your groundstrokes are to vertical
PaulFriel1990 2 years ago
you know... you're so right... i'm too lazy...and sloppy lately... OH I'm OLD...
hi10spro 2 years ago
stretch us on a passing shot, then pass us the other side. hit one pass, then lob... those are two annoying strategies...BUT your passing shot has to be low. NEVER slice the pass, it slows the ball down making it easy to putaway.
hi10spro 2 years ago
well u dont need to be young to hit a good forhand all u need to do is wind up more before u hit it from my point of view it kinda looks like your not pulling your racket bak alot idk just trying to be helpful
kingdom1292 2 years ago
that is true, but there is also the conditioning factor as you add more energy into your groundstrokes. but you do have a point. I don't try to hit it hard...hmmm
hi10spro 2 years ago
Yes it doesnt seem like you are really trying to hit the ball hard but pace comes from a lot of different areas. You can have a lot of pace on your forehand just from a lot of racquet speed. Your stance also affects the pace on the ball. And using your body more effectively is probably the easiest way to add a lot of extra pace on the ball.
socoolits2cool 2 years ago
really good up at the net and nice serves but u need to get a stonger forhand 4/5
kingdom1292 2 years ago
yep I do... I actually need more court time. I hardly play...sigh...and I'm old...
hi10spro 2 years ago
nice sv-ing hi10! 3:56 point my fav outta these. the one guys serve reminded me alot of oldschool borg style serve but without the pace and foot faulted often.

who's the dinker
bahobamf2 3 years ago
i'm five feet 6 inches tall. My racquet is a Wilson ncode n3 triad style, strung with a poly blend--Prince Let Er Rip at middle tension, and it's a 113 inch head size and weighs 8.8 ounces strung--less than a diet coke--the new ncode 2 plays just like it
hi10spro 3 years ago
i think you're a 3.5 to 4.5..... most guys i see in 4.5 to 5.0 have quick feet.... and when you are at net most of the time you are back pedaling.......w/c means you are not confident with your volleys.
spreykety 3 years ago
HAHAHAHHAHA sorry spreykety... all i do is volley, but I like this. When I played this match it was about a year ago after I laid off for 6 months. I barely beat this guy 7-6 (9-7). Last time I played him, I beat him 6-1 so I'm playing a bit better. NTRP is so bogus anyways--the ITF has a better system--google it--it's a stroke test that depends on how deep you hit the ball meaning i have to hit it crosscourt and my ball has to bounce beyond a certain point to get full score
hi10spro 3 years ago
oh! same situation like mines, im back pedaling when i know that my opponent will be able to return the ball. . . those cases causes me lose the point.
