Japanese are known for commiting sucide for their wrongdoings. I think this is a good way showing accountability and taking full responsibility of action, but I haven't seen anybody come before the Asian people and take that deep bow and say, I'm sorry for my wrongdoings and commit suicide. He had the courage to return to a place that many in Japan would rather forget about, and to open confess to war crimes committed by his fellow soldiers.
