  • I like this better than original! The background score is nearly perfect too..hats off to the team and arrangement

  • @manu2105 I think a minus one was used..nevertheless too good

  • hattsof to her....

  • mind blowing perfomance!!!!!!!!

  • I have listened to the original 15 million times and I think this version is really good.. she should only hold the mike a little farther when she's going higher.. coz it was jarring in those places.

  • why always going for Shreya ghoshal , when such an equivalent girl is here . . . :) she hav got brilliant voice...

  • Her voice is so natural like a fresh stream of spring water breaking through old rocks.haunting and spiritual same same

  • SUPERB...

  • wonderfull

  • Remarkable singing by 'Roopa'.Very beautiful voice,indeed!

  • Roopa.., try the song Ennulle ennulle from valli(Tamil) .i expect ur voice

  • @Triniharish

i agree that the lyrics cud have been pronounced better..... listen to the original.. it will xplain as to why she has sung it this way......

CAUSE THATS THE WAT IT IS IN THE ORIGINAL ITSELF..... SAD BUT TRUE

  • A.r Rahman sir,u must have to do some compositions for this tallented girl.

  • Greeat . . .Nice voice, well Tamil Melody

  • you simply rock !

  • I keep seeing comparative comments between SSG and ISS. This song/performance should lay to rest all of that. 1. Singers - SSG scores better any day and Roopa is way above the best in ISS.2. Host - Shyama is so natural in her responses and never shows any tinge of partial comments/responses. If you need proof that just watch the ISS elimination of Roshan. What was Renjini doing then??? Ranjini at times sound / makes facial gestures that reflect lot of sarcasm!!

  • WOW!

  • amazing talent; played the song several times and still in awe of the melodious voice

  • super!

  • i think there is no point in continuing SSG.. roopa is the best among all the SSG and ISS contestants. simply great.. all her songs r too good..in SSG, ratheesh is the second best..

  • Good job done.... you've got great talent!

being a mallu,u cud very well pronounce tamizh well

  • mallus can pronouce tamil..properly if they try. malayalam has all the alphabets which are in sanskrit and tamil. But tamils cannot do the same with other languages. tamil has the least number of alphabets amoung indian langauges. That is its beauty and its handicap at the same time.

  • of course u are right .... but there are so many tamizhians who are able to adapt to any kind of environment..... it is an individual's talent..anyone can do it only if they try.. i appreciated her for the hard work she has done to get adapted to a very difficult song where the pronunciations were quiet tough .... am i rite or wrong ?

  • yes yes.. neenga chonnathu sari thaan. I was just noting the contraints in tamil vis-a-vis malayalam. i have see both extremes.. tamils who are multi-lingual. and tamils who cant pronounce even tamil words properly.

  • I have no doubt that Roopa has very good singing talent- but still I beg to differ with the comment on pronunciation.

I think she wrote the lyrics in English rather than Malayalam.

She pronounced "Ularukiren" - the "la" being the small "la" - the big "la" is the correct pronunciation, although there is big"la" in Malayalam. The meaning is now "getting dried" rather than "blabbering". Same is true with "ennalum" where she used the small "la".

  • Triniharish,

    Agreed completely on pronunciation.

But what a singing! What a Talent..!!

  • Awesome!

  • Thanks alot karthika molle,Roopa I have become a blind fan of yours.Your parents should be so proud to have a daugter like you

  • Agree wiht one of the judges... sung better than the original singer...

  • thanks karthika for uploading this song..

Roopa...don't worry about the mistakes, still you took us to a different world...amazing!!!

waiting for your upcoming songs. good luck!

  • she is really awesome, this is her forte for sure

  • its superb...........actually i dont have word to describ about roopa.........she amazing . I went trought all song that she sang, and i identify she is a great artist especially, she sang well all tamil song even, she is a malayaly.

God bless you roopa.I pray for you
