My solution is way more realistical than the "real" one:

the 7th man had a huge umbrella that he opened after the rain started. the other six dind't remark this and hurried up. until the realised that the 7th had an umbrella big enough for all of them they got soaked. and finally they reached their destination together under the umbrella

The phrase "got out" implies that all seven men were exiting the cars by their own motivation. "Walking" implies the same thing. Both imply that all seven men were alive and moving independently. So the riddle's entire premise is false. Also, even putting that aside, people are buried in a cemetary, not a park.
