Wiki Gorilla to see how they eat compared to how big and strong they are. We've grown up on packaged foods so eating raw vegan seems bizarre but science shows that enzymes in food carry nutrients and cooking food kills enzymes. Pets eat cooked foods and are the only animals having human diseases. I'm going Raw vegan after this night looking at so many You Tube vids supporting it...why not, I may feel better. Thanks
Besides the pain, I've discovered, Raw or organic, Milk still has too much growth hormone for us & the possibility of Mad Cow. USA calls it Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, etc. (see Scripps.edu study) but the govt can't say that, too much money at stake, but if the rest of the western countries have it, why don't we? the way they test has a lot to do with it. After all this research and so many vids supporting the facts, I think milk isn't worth the risk for my family. it's worth a change in taste.
I would love to eat meat! Just not how it's raised killed and cooked here in America. Therefore I have all the tools necessary to be vegan why not? I'd rather be healthier. If I'm suddenly found in a place where veggies fruits and wheat don't grow healthy then sure bring on the meat. But for now I wanna live long :P
Nature is NOT crazy!,its totally logical, have you seen an Eskimo eating some nice Apples from a tree sitting happily in the frozen ice somewhere?
In most if not all native natural cultures they prize meat and only resort to vegetables when either they cannot get meat or its shipped in(as in the case of the Eskimos).Time and Time again its been proven that oil from fish is beneficial for all the body.so if you want stop eating red meat and eat fish...these veg doctors make millions selling crap!
Guys its easy to disprove vegetarians.I love animals and to be honest I do not know if I'm mentally totally happy killing them to eat them. But as an ex soldier that has survived and trained in some of the most inhospitable places in the world ,sooner or later you have to eat animals to survive.Even in UK where I am now , vegetables would not grow in winter in natural environmental situation. So therefore supporting vegetarianism is supporting something totally artificial and not natural.
I've had a total thyroidectomy and take thyroxine. I've read online that people with thyroid problems should not eat certain foods such as peaches, pears and raw broccoli, because they contain goitrogens. Do you agree with that?
Chris, I'm going to leave it at this. I wish you success. I've already been through this with other deluded people such as yourself. Raw vegan 'flesh and blood' experiences, which is basic literally true, and that's speaking of my body, not that of other animals. Cracks in skin, dental problems, healing problems, weaker skin, = flesh and blood problems/experiences due to raw veganism in the 811 direction, for example. Many people have experienced this.
I think the most important thing is the limiting the calories while maximizing the nutrients. That equation thing he came up with. Not some specific veganism or non-veganism diet.
Another reason to avoid the Vegan Diet is EFA deficiency, primarily DHA/EPA. Plant based Omega3 efa, known as Alpha Linolenic acid has to be converted for your body to use as DHA/EPA, this conversion rate in humans is very low, usually at a rate of 1-4%. Jesus, the saviour of the world ate fish, it should be ok for everyone else.
@iamhealthyandwealthy, also quality animal products are best for our health. Though we are cooked food -arians more so than carnivores, but clearly we are omnivores, and animal products are vital for our best health and strength.
@ToolsnFire No, it's not true. There is nothing wrong with eating meat, but Fuhrman wants much less of our total calories to come from animal products.
Amino Acids, the building blocks of protein, are more readily accessible for the digestive system when these are derived from non-meat and non-dairy sources.
@Novalier, real life shows your statement not to be true, at least as it relates to good/great health and good/great tissue maintenance and repair. Straight up.
@ToolsnFire So as it happens in nature we run around naked chasing down antelope and tearing open their chest cavities with our large claws. Also having a large digestive tract so the rotting meat can sit in our systems even longer to feed the parasites, stands out a mile! ;) What strength do we get from animal products? Obviously cows produce milk for other species.
How would you know? You obviously have no experience with biochemically compatible dieting, otherwise you would experience the difference of digestion and overall health after a long-term detox diet.
@Chrisisms, I most certainly do. You'll find out in time with your own body. The tremendous abundance of evidence points to people who have a well balanced fundamental 'four food groups' diet(though many don't have milk products, so call it three for most people), have the best health. The body reveals, by results. It's a matter of balance, quantity, and quality, not philosophy per se.
Do what? If u had experience with raw plant diets you would not make such appeals to popularity. The avg person is sick, fat, misguided and addicted to processed food, that includes cooked.
"You'll find out"
I tried your customs. Most men get colonic diverticulitis, constipation, acid reflux, seasonal colds, overweight, etc. Why do u want that?
"people who have a well balanced fundamental 'four food groups' diet"
Are SICK w/conentional diets. What world are u living in?
@Chrisisms, come to, I've had extensive experience, real flesh blood experience over years with raw plant diets. I live in a ground zero area for raw. I know what I'm talking about excellently, by extreme experience. Get away from the 'average' and get in tune. That's how humanity got to where it is in its best ways, not on a raw plant diet.
You are clearly deluded. And again, you will find out. Our biology rules over philosophy regarding diet. Though of course, evolution happens.
@ToolsnFire ", come to, I've had extensive experience, real flesh blood"
This is hardly legible... I am aware of your experience with blood but on a raw plant diet, there is no reason to want to return to indigestion, constipation, congestion, anxiety, etc.
"I know what I'm talking about"
Are you aware that meat contributes to diverticulitis and fruit doesn't? Are you aware that meat causes cancer but fruit prevents it with opposing digestive processes? Why do you want people to be sick?
@Chrisisms, hardly legible? yes it was a cliche, I'll put it another way: I've done it for years with raw veganism even in the 811 direction, I know the problems, and I've seen it in others, as numerous other people have as well. The problems are adequately documented, because they're real, with real people, I know. Denise Minger knows it too, and she's one among many thousands of other people who've 'been there, done that'. Fruit can cause more problems than good meat consumption.URdeluded.
I have greatly improved my health adding NANOGREENS10, a mixture equal to 10 vegetables a day. And adding fiber. Recovering well from Hodgkins Lymphoma.......I also eat more fruits and vegetables.......best wishes
What would happen if someone did this diet but without raw salad? What if they ate only raw fruit, cooked veggies and some beans?

Yes the best foods for health is raw fruits and vegetables. Even raw organic sprouts are great for health, but not necessary.

@ToolsnFire "excellent skewed mis-information."
The abundant research points to better health through plant based, raw, organic diets. This is something humans haven't taken advantage of.

Yes....

No. Your grammar errors were NOT 'a cliche'. It matches your diet theories.

What problems did you have? I have none.

Go ahead and convey the failure/problem you had.
