This video really helped me a lot! I've been looking at maybe getting this camera in a few months when I had the money but I was sort of unsure if I was ready for this kind of camera, but now I know I can handle it. Thank you for this!
will you use this camera to film your reviews from now on? :D if not, can you make a review with it to see how it performs in comparison with your current camera? :)
I know you reviewed the t2i and you get a sense of the t3i because they are very similar. I was wondering which one is better for both video and photography since I am on a medium budget for a dslr
@TechnomTigerGeek The t2i has 18 mpx while the D5100 has lower, the picture resolution is also higher on the t2i. For video the t2i crushes the D5100 :)
@UrDadIsBent88 I would get this one as it at least attempts continual autofocus during video. I would still primarily consider a DSLR for photos first and video as a secondary function for sure.
@davomrmac Great! I might end up getting this one because of your review and also you are right. The auto focus may help me a lot! Thanks.. Keep up the good videos :D
@adamsbil1 The Canon 60D is more comparable to the features of the Nikon D7000 (though the D7000 does not have an articulated screen). The 60D is better specced than the Nikon D5100 for photography, though video is more or less the same.
@thetechnoexpert very similar offer to the 550D and 600D, video quality is slightly more natural, love the controls. Build quality about the same. Hard choice. I like the Nikon lens line-up a bit more, which would sway my decision.
Really nice camera , would you please make a video with some "Tips&Tricks" & "Hints" on how to take some good photos , or some basics on photography plz ... Thanks In Advance
my friends have complemented for my photography skills..but I don't have an SLR..guys please suggest a good one.

D3100 is for pussies. D7000 is too fucking expensive. D5100 is perfect.

Seems fairly tiny, to be fair. I assume Nikon has a battery pack available for it?
Chokoretokukki 9 months ago
@Chokoretokukki No battery pack for this one.
davomrmac 9 months ago
@davomrmac That's utterly surprising. It will be a truly horrific experience having a longer lens on it, then (like you said in the video)...
