Your posts consist mostly of excuses and speculation, here's a tip, any time you have to say “for what it is” after you say the word fast =excuse. Any time you have to say “if I did this to my car” =speculation. BTW the owner of the teg in this video says it's “fully built” in the comments for another vid of his car. If you like road racing, look into the SCCA speed world challenge, and SRT4 ACRs

  • Yeah I hope I didn't come across as a hater either, truth is I love n/a hondas. When done right they're bada**. Problem is, in most cases it takes less money to make MORE power with a forced induction build than an n/a build. Just simple physics... Put it this way, I'd have way more respect for someone who beats me with an n/a Honda than a fast car that someone just bought, but no respect for anyone that beats me and then acts like a douche.

  • @choyleefutkid1 Nah dude that's stock for sure. That's a factory gauge and it looks like it's running at factory boost. Wanna know why that Integra is struggling? Torque. SRT4's have about 250 pound feet of torque in addition to the 230hp that's underrated from what I understand.

    I love honda fans who hate the SRT4 and try and make excuses. Stock they have easily 100lbs more torque, and 30+ more horsepower. You'll need to mod an integra/civic/etc considerably to keep up with an SRT4.

  • @rawrghblarghwaurgh Before anyone bitches at me for being a "hater" I actually love Honda's and drove a Prelude for years! I'm just talkin numbers here, & stock SRT4's between 2004-005 are simply gonna blow your doors off unless you get fairly serious with mods.

    I stumbled on a 05' SRT4 at a dealer while car shopping yesterday & after a test drive I was hooked. Might buy it! I don't care if it was based upon the neon, it's a wonderful little car that deserves far more respect than what's given.

  • @BanditAuron The handling actually reminded me a lot of the 1998 Honda Prelude I had. It stays flat and is reasonably quick steering, but it's really nose heavy and will understeer if you go into a turn wrong. Stock I considered it plenty good for a powerful stock FWD car.

    The powertrain is the thing I fell in love with though. It's such a refreshing change from the high revving but absolutely torqueless honda's I've driven over the years.

  • Oh and it's looking like I'm getting the SRT4. I'm having the dealer/mechanic dude (cool little shop selling a handful of cars too) throw in a new performance ACT clutch, pivot fork, pivot ball, and light flywheel first though. It's got 70k miles, and would probably be due for a new clutch soon anyway. Plus he offered to do it for half price and I'd be stupid not to take advantage of that.

    Hopefully I'll have the car within a week or two tops, and I'll try and put a video on my channel of it!

  • @rawrghblarghwaurgh If you do get it, get a Diablosport OBD flash programmer (~$300) for instant power gains (good for low 13s/high 12's on a bone stock car). When that gets boring, throw on some basic bolt-ons and a custom Diablosport E85 tune to run low 12's/high 11's on an otherwise stock car with less than 2k in mods. Stock turbo, stock internals, stock head, stock trans. Pretty much just a reflash, injectors, fuel pump, bigger intercooler, 3" exhaust, motor mounts, and an upgraded clutch.

  • @Wenis24 Thanks for the tips! I'll probably keep the engine mods really light at first as this will be my daily driver, but a year or two down the line I might go further. I was actually looking at the Mopar front/rear sway bars and maybe even their coilover upgrades to improve the handling. I'll definitely be taking this to thunderhill raceway and a few autocross events eventually. Maybe hit up the drag strip later outta curiosity of what the car can do. :)

  • @Ckdizon Correction, that's the factory boost gauge location. I took another look and he's running the Autometer procomp 20psi gauge, and from the looks of it he's hitting 12 to 15psi (stock boost range). Everything points to it being stock or very close to it. Why are you guys so hung up on the SRT being modded? I mean how fast to you expect a b20vtec Integra to be? Should be slightly faster than a stock SRT4, and that's pretty much what happens in the video? Enlighten me.

A quick run through the poster’s other videos proves this is a fully built motor (he says so). Let’s put this to rest, this is a video of a swapped, fully built, N/A Integra B20Vtec beating a clearly stock SRT-4. Argument over, stop making sh** up, and stop making excuses for either car.

I mean what do you honestly think either car would do in the 1/4? That's exactly how long it takes a bone stock SRT4 to go 50-110, so I'm guessing 14 second ETs. I'm impressed by na hondas that do this, but calm down, stock SRTs aren't a big deal. 215-230whp? That's not hard for a 2.0l na Honda.

The owner says it, common sense says it, hell the exhaust note says it. But whatever, go on thinking that a 100whp 2700lb car can hang with the 230whp/240tq (stock) 2900 SRT-4.     Wussup hommie , first listen up. Stock b20 block gsr head civic si pistons makes around 170+ WHP 130+ WTQ with bolt ons. Second, see what that engine reads?? HONDA proven race breed champions, same engineers designed the B series engines, doesn't say dodge = lucky if you get 150K out of the motor with changing oil regularly. Not to mention the transmission and everything else on the car/truck dodge makes that usually doesn't hold up.. .

A ton of engine swaps done very poorly and all of them hondas. All of them last about 5 months then need a rebuild. I am an ex honda technician. I don't hate on any car just ignoratly built cars.

  • I just don't get all the disrespect? Honda makes sick engines, no arguments there, but that neon engine is actually built pretty damn well too, they're just different philosophies. Honda uses more advance technology to eek out the most from a given displacement (naturally aspirated). Dodge in this case used somewhat older technology on the engine itself (minus the turbo) but older isn't always less effective. Those neon's can handle roughly double the stock HP output on stock internals.

  • @wikkid420ninja yeah no doubt i don't know much about the b20 but they seem to be good engines. surely something to not underestimate, just like an srt-4 as well, there are a couple around here like my buddies who is fully built putting down some nice numbers, and yes an rx7 is one sick car. what it comes down to is what the person has done to there car.

  • @goldo139 comparatively speaking, they arent too far off, especially since the integra is a 2 door and the srt is 4, if the integra was a 4 door it would probably weigh more than the srt, so IMO the srt is very light for a sedan.
