  • wont play past 1.05 for me!?

  • hi like your vids a lot awsome

  • nice pose

  • This is pretty good. Fairly common sense, but the guys just starting really need to hear this.

  • i agree with what you're saying. however there are a few exceptions to the rule.

when fedor fought crocop you see him attempt a hip throw takedown then when crocop leans back to block it, fedor immediately transitioned to a left hook.

or when shogun knocked out arona in the finals of the 2005 grand prix. the punch he threw was designed so that either it knocked arona out, or if it missed it put shogun in the perfect guard passing position.

    transitioning between phases is important

  • id enjoy your sitting technique if you were a woman, but i dont want to look at your open crotch geesh

  • lol, sitting technique... yeah though, it is odd

  • Very good insight. We do a lot of kickboxing (with 14/16 oz gloves and shinpads) with takedowns at my gym. We only do mma sparring one training session a week (unless someone is getting ready for a fight). I always thought this was good, but only to prevent freak injuries. This vid made me take note that it also helps me develope the weakest part of my game(Which is striking, because usually my wrestling is good enough to keep me out of trouble in mma sparring). Good vids, keep up the good work

  • your theories are right on!!!!! they are more like FACTS!!!! Where is your gym?

  • I agree with you 100%. Almost all males want to just want to throw on the gloves and knock somebody out. They dont want to put on the gi and learn the real technique behind it.

  • i agree with you they get hot headed and say i could do that and then someone wraps em up in a bloody triangle bar or arm bar i finally got my purple belt in BJJ after 2 years but i fought for it every lesson so im proud im movin up soon

  • @TommyxXxVengeance

    Where do you train?

I find it odd that a purple would call a triangle a "triangle bar"

No offense its just that i never heard any one but people that don't know grappling call it that.

If you really are a purple congratulations.

  • no offense takin bro i train pinson mma in MS been learnin under him there are several traingle locks theres a choke of course theres 3 armbars we just call em triangle bars just our little mistake i guess its all fun i just recently started my MMA career im currently in Jacksonville NC for a promo

  • @MrJuanism maybe what he means is a shorthand for having an armbar while you have him triangled.

  • @TommyxXxVengeance really? im getting my yellowbelt after two years

  • @RoomService21 awesome man

    I've been doin Gracie

  • of course they dont want to put on the gi u cant wear a gi in mma dumbass and they do leanr the real technique its called gracie jiujutsu you see theirs this guy names hoyce gracie he was a decent fighter lmao more like one of the greatest look him dipshit

  • ooohh catch wrestling is pro wrestling,,,the most direct catch lineage is japan

  • I disagree with you on your wrestling thing. Wrestling is just as good. I personaly think better ground game than jiu jitsu or bjj is. Try and look up pan and catch wrestling.

But otherwise I totally agree with you.

  • Right on!

  • Your right on man! I belive the same can be said for strenght and conditioning for mma. I see alot of guys doing super hard work out that are good conditioning work outs but will not make guys stronger. ie rich franklins all access, that was a good conditioning work out but its doesn't address anything for strenght.
