  • I could not stop laughing! The part when his hair stands up before the train comes cracks me up. The Little Rascals is truly a classic!

  • back in the day whare you could just let kids do whatever they wanted unsupervised...

  • Farina kicks ass!!!

  • Liked the clip. But after that train started running over poor Farina a third time, I'm staying "Enough already! Get him the hell outta there!"

  • Its amazing theyd out kids in that environment.

  • The cast list for this at IMDb is incomplete. Who's the older black boy standing at the far left at 2:19? Doesn't look like Ernie Morrison.

  • I never saw this 'silent' before...... outstanding. How did these young kids act so well??? great background info......

  • Great memories. Remember this growing up. Forget the crappy reality shows, this is TIMELESS

  • They knew what comedy was back then, while the situations were audacious and periculous for the kids; we do get marvelous entertainment. Today's feckless, hyper choreographed comedy is mawkish in comparison, it lacks the spirit of precarity. This is the very quality I seek in these films.

  • WOW, amazing stuff, clearly the kids are in the engineer's seat for parts of it. You can see that many of these shots are backwards, stading right before the actor would be peril n real life thenthe locomotive is move away and then played in reverse. Still, that kid was CEARLY in real danger while filming this, something that would never be allowed to happen today. It's a shame that so much of these classic comedy bits rarel see the light of day now in the name of Political Correctness.

  • woah! i never caught farina that young, and then again I never really watched all the Hal Roach silent films

  • Fantastic pre -Spanky & -Falfa silent OUR GANG short. Thanks for posting.

  • That was filmed at Redondo Jct roundhouse!! ATSF Railroad. The original turntable is there along with the interlocking tower (built in 1906) and an old crew office from that period. Incredible historic footage!!.

  • @WheelSlip8

    Excellent background info. Thank you.

  • 0.44 seconds in is the funniest thing ive ever seen. as politically incorrect as it was, i prefer this to the crap they feed kids these days.

  • Memories... *grin* my son will love this just because of the train. I hope as he gets older though he learns to appreciate film like this.
