  • Axl Rose made 17 accounts to dislike the song.

  • Fuck... I REALLY need to take a ride to my record shop. So much I need to get!

  • @plokplokersable I've read Slash's Autobiography, he says he formed Snakepit because he missed his inspiration and just playing music. He didn't want Snakepit to be a side project, but gave both the bands his all. But you can't talk shit about Axl, 'Cause you don't know him bro. No offence. But it's not like it was rejected, but at a time when GN'R wasn't all that commited to showing up at rehearsal, Someone called Slash and told him "Never quit man". He wrote it all with help from Izzy.

  • this is the best guitar intro I've ever heard

  • OMFG the last 30 seconds of the song is fucking amazing!! gives me the chills everytime i hear it

  • i dont understand how people can like this video without the intro.

  • Awesome song. BUT where the great intro ???

  • WOW THIS IS DEFINITELY IN GOOD QUALITY GREAT VIDEO!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • guitar steel slide, that he used for beginning riff :)

  • at 1:30 Slash throw anything..........but wath is it ?

  • @theacag he threw his guitar slide and he tryed to make ity look like he flicked it off his finger

  • @theacag it is the ceramic slide he was using. how cool is that? ;-)

  • not so great quality

  • whats Eric doing now, does anyone know

  • jaja i dont know, the last thing ... mm.. he played with Alice Cooper, but thats all, maybe some 4 years ago.. with the eyes of alice cooper... then he worked with a group called Lost Angels with Jhon Corabi, that all i know about him

  • wow! it's Mike Inez from Alice in Chains with the bass!! Amazing Line up!!

  • Without intro it is a great shit!!!

  • best slash's band

  • Need to re-post this video with the intro, great quality but you need the whole thing...

  • Is that Gilby Clarke and Matt Sorum I see????

  • I had the opportunity to see live a consent to GNR in 1993 but everything went to see Slash, GNR came in 2010 came here to El Salvador and gave me no interest in going to see them only because they lacked the best of the better slash!!!

  • I had the opportunity to see live a consent to GNR in 1993 but everything went to see Slash, GNR came in 2010 came here to El Salvador and gave me no interest in going to see them only because they lacked the best of the better slash!!!

  • I'm the 400th "Like"

    Luv this song, great!!!!!

  • Can u imagine his song was made 15 years ago

If this song was out today it would probably become a big hit

  • the opening riff is similar to a riff in zakk wylde´s pride and glory song: losing your mind!!! you just got to love those heavy riffs!!!

  • Hey Eric it has been a long time I love this song Hope to hear from you soon Ca

  • Luv this song best 1 off the album

  • love it

  • the intro was in the clip, the guy may have done what i did and missed the start when recording it, we had VCR's in those days wow 95 was 15years ago

  • Buy one album for a penny... GET 12 FREE! That's how I first bought this album... Don't remember liking it too much back then but I think I was still bummin over lack of Axl. This song and vid are RAAAAAD!!! K.I.B.

  • i think eric dover is an underestimated rock singer.he is fucking amazing.slash should ask him to join VR.

  • Slash's southern bluesy sound is what makes it..

  • Bon Jovi on vocals

  • I LOVE this song!!!!

  • eric dover is one of the coolest dudes you'll ever meet. check out imperial drag and his new group sextus if you dig his voice.

  • Hey everybody please subscribe and check out my bands videos it was our first show and we appreciate all advice

  • well, most of the snakepit's songs are slash's material that was rejected by axl rose while he was on GNR.. that's why he formed snakepit so he could find people to support him.. so, what would happen to GNR if axl didn't refuse slash's songs? axl's a selfish singer, he wanted to turn GNR into a techno-rock band, as you can see now.. it's just not the same without slash..

  • @plokplokersable yes that its truie but axl its great singer and great professional sad is he very selfish

  • @plokplokersable my opinion but I can't help but feeling slash's snakepit was better

  • @plokplokersable rofl

    1. get your facts down right

    2. please don't spread hate on someone based on rumors

    3. different tastes make different people. there are riffs you do like and riffs you don't

  • Might be just me but his voice reminds me of Tesla... lol

  • @JeevesMorris1 Jeff Keith, and yes he does....

  • I never liked this singer much. Music is good though.

  • That´s right.

  • i really like the first guns' album cos it has the slash's style, and snakepit is fucking better!!!!

specially what do you wanna be!!!!!!

  • this band is so underrated!!! i think many songs from the snakepit are better than most of the songs from GNR (not all of them) i mean, deeper lyrics, cool riffs, great structure on the songs, i love this band, too bad it's dead

  • Slash, Gilby, Matt, even Duff had writing credits on the song!! Eric is a monster!

  • where is the intro??

thats the best part of the song

  • @Jappib sometimes bands shorten songs for their music videos... idky.

  • I have to say this song is fucking epic in its idiom.

  • Eric Dover would make a great stand-in for Steven Tyler with Aerosmith...

  • hell ye....he looks and sounds like him lol

  • reminds me more of a cross between chris robinson and shannon hoon... the whole track gives me a black crowes vibe. weird.

kick ass track and cd though.

  • The first Slash´s Snakepit album was recorded by the same lineup of this video:

    Slash - Guitar

    Eric Dover - Vocals

    Matt Sorum - Drums

    Mike Inez - Bass

    Gilby Clark - Guitar

But, the band that Slash bring on tour for that album had James Lomenzo on bass (now he´s playing with Megadeth) and a drummer which I can´t remember his name right now. Cheers

  • thats a sick lineup i didnt know gilby clark was in snakepit

  • drummer Brian Tichy

  • Tichy was the drummer for the tour, M. Sorum did the drums on the record, and on this video, as you can see.

  • awesome no less no more

  • is it sorum on the drums???

  • the best video i saw

  • slash is amazing end of story!

  • Is that Mike Inez on bass?

  • This singer is best of Scott of stone temple pilots

  • The crazy, emotional way Eric Dover sings seems to deserve a straitjacket. He's really amazing.

And Slash is... Slash. Always manages to blow your mind. Fucking good song.

  • best song ever

  • Amazing SOng !!

    Right on Slash ...

The Truth is ..Slash offered these songs to AXL at the time for the NExt Gn'R Album but they were all Rejected by AXL so he put out Snakepit's First Album

  • YES !!

  • is that matt sorum on drums?

  • yes

  • i forgot he played drums on the first Snakepit album.

  • It's Steven Tyler....lord have mercy ! Great song Slash!!!!!

  • I saw this band at the W-ton Civic they were brill, I got Slash and Eric's autographs, they were they for well over 30mins signing for the fans! Eric even got cornered by some german girls and couldn't get away!! lol

  • he remind me a bit of the singer from aerosmith....whats his name? steve taylor o something like that....

  • you're a moron...

  • Such a great song!

  • they should have replaced axel with this guy

  • Totally agree man!

  • Saw these guys in 93, still hits as hard today !

  • reminds me alot of Zakk Wylde with Pride and Glory, it's basically the same rythem group too as far as I know

  • Slash fuckin' rocks!!!!

  • finally proper quality! thank you, this is good shit :)

  • man, why i didnt notice this band in that time? is fking... EPIC¡¡¡

  • eric dover has a great voice. awesome singer.

  • Perfect vocals, great guitar rifts. Slash rocks!!

  • toda banda q o slash passa ele deixa uma marca

  • So slash's snakepit is a band?

  • Well... was a band. There were two different line ups, both with slash of course. This is the first group, their album came out in '95, the second band made their album in 2000. Personally I like the this line up best, it's got some guys from GnR & also because mike inez is the bassist, & he is just too fucking awesome!

  • Eric Dover is amazing singer, he sings from his heels

  • yea he is, he should be vr's new singer

  • Defintely! His voice is perfect... defines hard rock

  • Rock'n'Roll is immortal!! Hell yeah!!!!!!

  • Duff McKagan (Vr bassist and former gnr bassist) co-wrote this song

  • Velvet revolver would be soo much better with eric dover

  • omg i love snakepit theyre sooooooooo amazing.........

eric dover should heaps be the new singer for vr, he's an incredible singer and he would really suit the band too =))))))

  • the vocal line to this song is godly.

  • Very Underated album

  • slashs snakepit - what a band!!!!!

i prefer the aint life grand album tho personally, they are both still aaaawesome!

  • eric dover could be the new singer of velvet revolver, i think!

  • should be. he's a great singer.

  • quality tune!

  • good tune

  • Matt sorum and gilby were in this band they followed slash after gnrs breakup to make snakepit and it turns out eric was the guitarist in jellyfish

  • slash was still in gnr when he made the 1995 version of snakepit he was bored because gnr weren't doin anything so he started writing his own songs and asked matt and gilby if they would join him and he recruited some other guys too but the singer became addicted to drugs and fell apart so slash disbanded snakepit then i think gilby was fired from gnr not sure if that was before or after snakepit though and slash left gnr he made the other version of snakepit later Never as good as the originals

  • Who sings in Slash's Snakepit?:)

  • Eric Dover!!!!!! :D

  • Eric Dover and then Rod Jackson.

  • Eric Dover has such a great voice, slash is as good as ever! snakepit = Fuck Yeah!

  • is matt and gilby in this video? cuz the drummer kinda looks like matt and the rythm guitarist has a sytyle like gilby

  • ye they are they were both in the original version of snakepit

  • slash the best ...

  • Los 90's con Guns; The Cult; Metallica; Megadeth;AC DC; fueron grandiosos. 90's forever

  • thanks for shawna who shared this to me

  • ke palle kissi ao||

  • no solo tho =/ this needs a solo

  • as a 32 year old... this is classic cool but will always miss the original gnfr!!

  • Fuck yes. I'm 21 and completely agree.

  • A definate forgotten gem of the 90s!

  • thats true!!

  • that would be a yes

  • Eric Dover - Voce

    Slash - Chitarra

    Gilby Clarke - Chitarra

    Mike Inez - Basso

    Matt Sorum - Batteria

    Dizzy Reed - Tastiere

    Gtande HaaRock

  • is matt the drumer???

  • Welcome to REAL Rock music at it's finest. This is one of the most under-rated, Bad Ass records front to back

  • holy shit! slash is soooo HOT!

  • Good song, Awesome guitar pieces.

  • Hey- it's John Corabi, former lead singer for Motley Crue for all of five minutes.

  • Great song, amazing band.

Damn, at first sight, I was sure that the singer was Mark Whalberg from Rock Start movie :-p

  • straight up kick you in the nuts rock n roll

  • 360xl,hes in there,i saw him

  • is that matt sorum on the drum kit?

  • yep, and i think its gilby clarke on rythm guitar?

  • Sorry, I meant that i heard somewhere Gilby played rhythm for them, i cant see him in the vid though

  • Great song bought this album when I was kid just luv it... the singer is Eric Dover ..luv his voice.

  • That girl, at :49 appears also in the "Estranged" video. Who's she?

  • matts wife

  • love this song <3

  • why does't this singer sing in VR?

  • i think he is now vr's new singer....not totally sure tho but it would be wicked!

  • well, he should yeah!

  • Because this is a different band, the bassist is that guy from Alice In Chains, so thats half a band different and another guitar missing. I would love to see this guy singing with them, but i don't think he will, they said recently that they're looking for a BIG name, not exactly this guy.

    I would vote Chris Cronell

  • i love you slash!!!! es mi idolo = q dover !!

    grande salsh!!

  • funny that seeing as matt and gilby both make this lineup........................these shouldve been the new guns tracks. Twatxl didnt want them.

  • estaba en la secundaria cuando salio este disco!! whow! que recuerdos, realmente me gustaba este grupo.. me gusto mas el siguiente disco.. creo fue mejor

  • is it ian gillan whos in it

  • eric dover is a great singer.scott left VR.so its time for eric to join VR...

  • hell ya Eric Dover would be way better than Weiland

  • it's an amazing song

  • Why doesn't Slash get this band back together?

  • why doesn't Slash get this guy to sing with VELVET REVOLVER?

  • Szo that comment didnt be put as a reply...it was a reply to Rigson

  • Slash should re-release this remastered...i love Snakepit over new GNR. Gunners died..

  • Yeah! Snakepit is better in my opinion...

  • man, velvet revolver is good but i am starting to think that i like the snakepit more.

  • Matt is the drummer in the vid. Wikipedia says he was in snake pit from 94-95.

  • Wikipedia is not a credible source.

Matt Sorum was with GNR and during their hiatus that started early 95 he and slash got together with Gilby and Alice in Chains bassist and made this record. The drummer and Bassist didn't tour though.

  • That is Matt Sorum. He was the drummer on It's Five O'Clock Somewhere.

  • That's what I said, they started Slash's Snakepit in 95. 94' was Slash's Blues ball era. Matt Sorum was only on the record and didn't tour.

  • hell, everything that involves Slash is pure gold.

    love it!
