@plokplokersable I've read Slash's Autobiography, he says he formed Snakepit because he missed his inspiration and just playing music. He didn't want Snakepit to be a side project, but gave both the bands his all. But you can't talk shit about Axl, 'Cause you don't know him bro. No offence. But it's not like it was rejected, but at a time when GN'R wasn't all that commited to showing up at rehearsal, Someone called Slash and told him "Never quit man". He wrote it all with help from Izzy.
jaja i dont know, the last thing ... mm.. he played with Alice Cooper, but thats all, maybe some 4 years ago.. with the eyes of alice cooper... then he worked with a group called Lost Angels with Jhon Corabi, that all i know about him
I had the opportunity to see live a consent to GNR in 1993 but everything went to see Slash, GNR came in 2010 came here to El Salvador and gave me no interest in going to see them only because they lacked the best of the better slash!!!
I had the opportunity to see live a consent to GNR in 1993 but everything went to see Slash, GNR came in 2010 came here to El Salvador and gave me no interest in going to see them only because they lacked the best of the better slash!!!
Buy one album for a penny... GET 12 FREE! That's how I first bought this album... Don't remember liking it too much back then but I think I was still bummin over lack of Axl. This song and vid are RAAAAAD!!! K.I.B.
well, most of the snakepit's songs are slash's material that was rejected by axl rose while he was on GNR.. that's why he formed snakepit so he could find people to support him.. so, what would happen to GNR if axl didn't refuse slash's songs? axl's a selfish singer, he wanted to turn GNR into a techno-rock band, as you can see now.. it's just not the same without slash..
this band is so underrated!!! i think many songs from the snakepit are better than most of the songs from GNR (not all of them) i mean, deeper lyrics, cool riffs, great structure on the songs, i love this band, too bad it's dead
The first Slash´s Snakepit album was recorded by the same lineup of this video:
Slash - Guitar
Eric Dover - Vocals
Matt Sorum - Drums
Mike Inez - Bass
Gilby Clark - Guitar
But, the band that Slash bring on tour for that album had James Lomenzo on bass (now he´s playing with Megadeth) and a drummer which I can´t remember his name right now. Cheers
The Truth is ..Slash offered these songs to AXL at the time for the NExt Gn'R Album but they were all Rejected by AXL so he put out Snakepit's First Album
I saw this band at the W-ton Civic they were brill, I got Slash and Eric's autographs, they were they for well over 30mins signing for the fans! Eric even got cornered by some german girls and couldn't get away!! lol
Well... was a band. There were two different line ups, both with slash of course. This is the first group, their album came out in '95, the second band made their album in 2000. Personally I like the this line up best, it's got some guys from GnR & also because mike inez is the bassist, & he is just too fucking awesome!
slash was still in gnr when he made the 1995 version of snakepit he was bored because gnr weren't doin anything so he started writing his own songs and asked matt and gilby if they would join him and he recruited some other guys too but the singer became addicted to drugs and fell apart so slash disbanded snakepit then i think gilby was fired from gnr not sure if that was before or after snakepit though and slash left gnr he made the other version of snakepit later Never as good as the originals
Because this is a different band, the bassist is that guy from Alice In Chains, so thats half a band different and another guitar missing. I would love to see this guy singing with them, but i don't think he will, they said recently that they're looking for a BIG name, not exactly this guy.
estaba en la secundaria cuando salio este disco!! whow! que recuerdos, realmente me gustaba este grupo.. me gusto mas el siguiente disco.. creo fue mejor
Matt Sorum was with GNR and during their hiatus that started early 95 he and slash got together with Gilby and Alice in Chains bassist and made this record. The drummer and Bassist didn't tour though.
Axl Rose made 17 accounts to dislike the song.
