Im sure its more likely that she is guilty based on the evidence that they claim to have on her but its still possible that she is innocent of killing her baby. It has happened in all races and cultures. Not the typical parent, but it does happen. Also, who knows what anyone would do in that situation. If you're going to be murdered, the person who murders you will most likely be someone you know. It's only the serial killers, rapists, etc that are genuine "threats to society". The rest are circumstantial, specific and nearly impossible to predict.

Even if it takes another year for CA's trial; she's still sitting in jail. She has another year to squirm and wonder if she'll ever get to party again. Personally, I think the longer this trial is put off, the worse her chances are. I heard that investigators now believe that Caylee also succumbed by smothering from the duct tape that was placed over her mouth and nose. Poisoned and then suffocated. . . . poor Caylee. I wonder if she was still conscious at that point.

@pammyoneto Yes they all get this long or longer if they need since the result of the trial leads to a permanent result that you can not come back from and that is death. She will also get a series of automatic appeals on her behalf to ensure she is guilty and that when they put her to death that there is no doubt she committed the crime. Only people who forfeit their lives get a faster trial and are sent to the death chamber without any appeals.

@pammyoneto No not only those that plead guilty if someone pleads guilty still gets a series of appeals on their behalf in a attempt to save their lives. A person must plead no contest to the charge and then motion the court to halt all current and future appeals and give up any right they have to live. Less then 100 people have done this and the main reason they do it is to save the state money.
