  • ok so how did you get reverse to work? looks like a cbr motor mabey?

  • I would still take the dinosaur instead, at least the T-rex looks good, not to mention it is street legal.

  • oh.. this video sure needed a theme song!~ utter shit!! goofy wide looking machine. go pick up the stickers you just tossed out on the road

  • why does it have such an extreme long wheelbase?? Your turns are very wide. imho it's far too long for just one person

  • cool trike, but it looks heavy. it probably isnt tho..

  • ;'''Nice!!!! but safet first!!!! to protect the driver. too bad with all the size (like a car) only one person can be in it at one time. Almost not practical, for that matter a conventional motorcycle is more of a practical application (with a passenger). Good Luck otherwise you are a GEnius!.

  • ;'\

  • Yeah....it has 3 wheels..... but is it really a trike? Normally a trike would have handlebars.... once you put a steering wheel, it then becomes a cart or a car-like vehicle.

  • @Justus331 Even the Morgan three wheeler was considered a trike, and sometimes a "cycle car", so the label will probably apply here. Basically trike, just means three wheels.

  • Looks great Joe! You should have a version with little body work like the Ariel Atom. (Lou M)

  • great work...very well engineered ...thumbs up from this armchair mechanic...after watching this im inspired to change my own fuel filter

  • Love the song..... Wish I could have heard the trike though :)

  • Damn man burn that sticker off the tire lol

    nice work

  • One speedbump and you can kiss your floorpan goodbye

  • congratulations, está chingon!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hooray car

    boo music

  • I see a long list of violations here none more then the kids riding in the truck bed.was that a school parking lot? nice concept bad testing judgement.

  • yeah men!!!

  • 1) This video is of the prototype only. For more info and for pictures of the final build visit the website that is at the end of the video and in the video description.

    2) This video is of the very first run out of the shop and so THE TOE IN AND SUSPENSION WERE NOT SET UP! We were trying to beat the rain.

    3) The turning radius is very tight considering that it is a rack and pinion. It is almost as tight as a vehicle with a steering box.

  • 4) It actually handles as well as a Formula Atlantic car.

    5) To hear the engine sound without music please see the "Stealth Tryke #2" under related videos section ---->

    6) We are currently working on a twin turbo'ed Busa version with a dual flux capacitor as an optional add-on.

  • @yzmotoxer807 Lol. diggin the flux capactor. Would tell people it needed cleaned all the time in my shop.

  • would be cool if there wasnt music over it

  • in my opinion it never will works out right

  • its to wide infront,

when he turns the corner the circle is to BIG,

    and he cant make drifts,

    its a big collosal turn,

thats why i wrote my first post!

so do something about its steering,

it hurts to see it turn like that

  • it has a long chasis.. does it understeer alot?

  • @didyormama

    LOL

    Ofcourse man hahaha

  • Awesome work, just a shame about the shit music you have on yur video. Would love to have heard your beast running..

  • @michaelball123

    I agree.

  • @michaelball123 agreed i was just thinkin the same thing

  • Yawn....the t-rex "flies" just as fast, and you still have room for that honey unlike this thing.

  • t-rex aint german, they from quebec in canada!

  • Ariel atom, or T-rex who gives a rats ass, give these guys some credit they built this themselves. I respect people who build their own stuff, so what if the ariel atom or t-rex is faster or better looking, don't make your dumb comments cause you don't own one or know how to fabricate.

  • Take the fucking stickers off the tires before driving it!!!!!...I fucking hate it when people do that.

  • burn em off

  • Nice try i guess, but leave it to the germans: buy a t-rex

  • 5* for the Van Halen reference. Almost took one away for the music through the entire video, I want to hear the tryke. Nice job!

  • What is the engine you are using in your creation?

  • good

  • #1 enemy.. speed bumps

  • nice trike, nice music.... all and all pretty good.

  • i'd rather just have an ariel atom!

  • why music? WHY?

  • Nicely engineered. The back end is too long throwing the proportions out. Half of the length of the car is the drive train. Shorten the wheel base by moving the rear wheel towards the engine and widen the distance between suspension mounts to create a short trail arm. This will create more rear grip and make the tryke more agile

  • and more likely to snap hard under over steer conditions... but hey what ever floats your boat... and or... what ever suits your application, but for me.... it looks about right!

  • that his is WAAAAYYYY low! lol. hella awesome job guys, cant wait to see wher you go with it!

  • Ride stiff enough?

  • great job...

  • ''excellent''

  • sweet trykes. i also live in the lehigh valley.

  • r u guys from lehigh valley pennsylvania?

  • Cool vehicle, but how about turning the music down so we can hear it?

  • People love putting videos up with music that is to fucking loud.

  • im impress!!! it has a reverse gear!!!

  • That is one sick trike!!!!!!!

    Whats the name of song???

  • slither by velvet revolver

  • Nice job, but I think it would look much better without the radiators (and the framework surrounding them) sticking out the sides.

    Keep it nice and slim...

  • tt needs some sheet metal or something to cover it from the rain

  • the front shock setup is like the traxxas revo

  • Music Off!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Great Tryke!

  • beautiful frame work, looks like she handles well. Like to have one of those enclosed, 5 stars!

  • AWSOME!

  • understeer? :/

  • Yes. Once again this was the first test ever and so there was no setup yet. After we adjusted the suspension and anti roll bar the understeer completely went away.

  • May I suggest you at least try a largish heavy wall tube in place of the roll bar as the roll bar but eliminating all roll as a test? Anyway, good luck with it, nice to see some different vehicles around the place.

  • For this inaugural test run there was no anti-roll bar in place and this was the reason for the handling characteristics that you see in this video. I have met Jim Musser and got to see his sportcycle first hand. I am not at all impressed with his anti-roll bar setup. He was looking to achieve one thing and I another. This tryke is comparable in handling to a Formula Atlantic car in its current state. Hooking up the anti-roll bar brought this vehicle to life.

  • I'm not a Sportcycle fan but I do understand that Jim was trying to keep a flat rear tyre footprint and thats why he did what he did. I myself am building my 4th prototype RT and I will use something similar to Jim but I will be different in that I will still have some idependent wheel compliance. If you go to flickr d o t c o m photo album and add forward slash cheapracer you will see my current 4 wheeler build. I would type you the link but youtube doesn't allow it.

  • So the spin at the end is because of the car rolling around it's centers and tipping the rear tyre onto it's edge, The main fault of all reverse trikes that are designed with "F1 suspension" which is great for 4 wheels rather than what a trike actually needs ie; no roll.

Type - sportcycle channell 4 - into google and have at look at his no roll solution which can be quickly adapted to your design.

  • Actually the spin at the end is called a doughnut and we tested with and without the roll bar. It handled much better with the roll bar than without. Also this test run was with almost no setup because it was the first test ever.

  • Is it a busa engine? And for the body work you should try to make is look like a indy car. XD

  • No it is a GSXR1000 engine but it could be whatever the customer wants. As for the body, right now it is modeled after an F-117 stealth fighter but this too could be whatever the customer wants. Check out the website for more details.

  • Looks good man.....

*Don't let the the economy or Uncle Sam screw you up.

*Post when your body is done.

  • The body is done. Check out the website. Click on stealth tryke. We are working on new footage that will be posted in the future.

  • wuts the song

  • Slither by Velvet Revolver

    Guitar solo by slash.

  • Great trike.... Glad to see someone actually put some thought into their build! I haven't seen anything on youtube even close to the build quality of this trike. I looked through the pictures on your website and can see that you know what you're doing (unlike most of the builds people put here).

  • that thing is retardedly ugly and looks like a death trap. nice contraption though how fast have you topped out

  • nice but i think it would look better with some street bike tires up front. as light as that thing is it doesnt really need that wide of tires and the street bike tires would probably make easier steering, make it even lighter, and slightly more aerodynamic haha

  • amazing work. But you should cancel the music and show the nice engine sound.

  • is it street legal i don't see no lights or turn signal lights

  • This video was of a test run and so it did not have lights or signals. The finished product will be fully street legal. Check out the website for more details.

  • what is it using for an engine?

  • sick i want 1 looks like fun

  • Isn't this run with a motorbike engine? How does it back up? Does it have a reverse?

  • Yes it uses a GSXR1000 engine and uses a Quaife reverse box.

  • You're doing it the proper way then!

    It's a job well done.

    Greetings from Iran

  • Just an observation, are the wheels supposed to be that much different when turned near the max? What is the turning radius, big?

  • In this video the toe in was not set which in turn exaggerated what you see. One wheel angle is different from the other to compensate for the arc in which they are traveling. They both turn on different circles. As far as the turning radius, it is big, as with any rack and pinion steering. However, it has a lot more steering angle from "lock to lock" than any other vehicle out there. And with one wheel in the back, there is no problem turning in tight situations.

  • too bad if there is gone be a small rock on the street u gone feel it on ur ass hard way

  • yeah not really. the places we tested were full of rocks and you couldn't feel them. I mean it's not like the seat hits the ground or anything.

  • thnx for responding

  • Woop just like my trike lol just mines electric and about half the size :p

  • need to put 4 wheels on that bad boy...that would look much cooler!

  • 4 wheels?? Thats the whole idea of a reverse trike. Are you guys gonna sell kits or plans?? Im in need of one of these in Cali.

  • wats tha song

  • slither by velvet revolver its slash wat did you expect

  • why doesent people remove the stickers from their new tires? looks so fucking ugly...

    awsome trike though!

  • isnt it affecting the handling in anyway? cuz stickers dont give very good grip i guess :P

  • It only makes a difference for the first five minutes when the sticker hasn't rubbed through yet. Big deal.

  • hey, I need some help with the bellcranks, can you give me some tips on how to attach them to the chassis, and what kind of bearing setup you have ?

    nice work by the way

  • I really wanna see a sweet ass "STEALTH" body on that

  • cool, understeers alot i can see, nothin to do now, its too long, maby put bigger tires on front, might help.

  • how hard is it to make it street legal? I want to fabricate one myself.

  • Very cool. Nice work too .

  • What size is the rear? Do you use a layshaft to get the chain out or offset the motor? Just finished my Reverse trike in NZ and Im looking at starting another one,

  • amazing work! Im building a reverse trike out here in lancaster but wont be anywhere near as clean as this one. Wow increadable.
